For a split second, I thought you were going to be playing the (apparently terrible) 2010 remake. If it's not too difficult, try to throw that one in this... series?

Iron Chitlin posted:This is what I'm bringing to the table I've been meaning to play this one for a while. I don't think I've ever played an RPG in the first-person-crawl-down-hallways format. Though, I think scary monsters popping around a corner would freak me out a little bit too much. I like how many people you've pulled in on this one. Are you sharing your screen with Skype, Google Hangouts, or something similar? I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this, as I've discussed on the Sandcastle.

I have never heard of Nox until now. At first glance, I thought it was some Steam throwback indie dungeon crawler because of its brownish, Baldur's Gate-style visuals combined with some pretty unique fog of war system. Now that I see it was released in 2000, I'm thoroughly impressed. I don't think I could look at it for more than ten minutes, but I'm happy it I know it exists. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, she bought a lot of NES games after they were a bit cheaper once the SNES was released, I think. Regardless, she really knew how to spoil her grandchildren by enabling a video game habit. Still kicks my rear end at Dr. Mario, no joke.

All I remember are tall gray dudes and a boss fight that was impossible on Hard (with the paltry amount of ammo I had).

I just subbed to your channel because I want to see how this one turns out. I was a pretty big fan of Heavy Rain, and I liked Indigo Prophecy for what it had to offer. Didn't get a good vibe about Beyond, but we'll see if I should make it my last PS3 game before I put it away for good.

I like the idea of some of these videos getting their own thread. What qualifies things as 2007-worthy and not? Effort? I don't know how I'd 2007-ify my Pikmin LP, if that makes any sense.

Cordial Minuet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulJMzYUGZyg A buddy and I played Jason Rohrer's new game about gambling. Just a singular video introduction on its quirks. I got super hyper-secret access, and I thought I'd show it off because the articles I've read about it so far don't paint a very clear picture.

JamieTheD posted:Huh, that's actually quite a clever lil' game, and if it weren't for the fact it involves realmoneys, I would play the hell out of that. Also, I like that it's "The World" versus "The Abyss". Although it's weird that he adds things up to 111, because that's the Holy Trinity, but... Hell, it's interesting anyhoo! I'm a Jason Rohrer fanboy. He's a really interesting guy. I'll be the first to admit that his games lack a lot of substance to play for an extended period of time, but they hit pretty heavy with their message while being incredibly unique at the same time. But yeah, a lot of hype around him is just people (like me) going, "This guy is weird!! Did I mention how weird and different he is?!" I saw him at PAX Prime in 2012, and he signed my rare copy of Diamond Trust of London. He's tall. *sigh* Oh, Jason. ![]() ![]()

![]() I started to do a retro review video for Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures, and when I wrapped it up, I decided it'd be a good one to play through in an LP format. This game is bizarre. It's the sequel to Pac-Man. Like, that blue maze game with the yellow ball and ghosts? Yeah, it got a sequel... somehow.
