Noah is a good movie and that's because it was deliberately NOT made to be yet another cheap Bible-exploitation film. It's poetry. Some may call it a presumptuous film but I think it succeeds for the most part. It's like Hollywood is finally learning to treat Christian mythology the same way it treats Greek mythology: not to be faithful and church-approved but exploited to make brilliant and entertaining spectacles (this is not to say the film is heretical; I think religious types will find it matches the spirit of Scripture if not the letter).
