Also Ariel trying his best to impersonate Chael's on-air persona and it just doesn't work.

Plus the audience always like to see a one-sided beatdown and seeing a ripped to poo poo Leonidas looking motherfucker being casually disposed of by <anyone who can throw a punch> is cool and then maybe Jack Slack can post a picture of Arlovski getting his face punched in next to a woodcut of some Olde Timey boxing and errbody be all OH poo poo THAT GUY. WHAT A CLEVER.

Arlovski has some name value, he'll look good smashing a couple cans and then make somebody else look good smashing him. I'm honestly kind of surprised they didn't bring him back before now, since he left on pretty good terms.

And if he does well then they can play up the comeback story.

Seems like there were mildly bad feelings.

Only his last fight was on the prelims; the one before that was on the main card, and it was his fight against Werdum, which I think probably had more to do with his last one being on the prelims because his fight with Werdum was really fuckin' bad.

MMAjunkie news on why Cerrone isn't fighting Nurmagomedov (or Diaz)quote:While it’s hard to find anyone willing to complain about the UFC’s recently announced Donald Cerrone vs. Jim Miller matchup, some fans did immediately wonder where that left Khabib Nurmagomedov. Silently acknowleging a man named Khabib from Dagestan is Muslim and that the Diaz's continue to have the most incompetent manager.

Robert Analog posted:I've never heard of this can you elaborate? I never watched Strikeforce. I think he meant EliteXC (although maybe Strikeforce did it early on?) In EliteXC if the ref thought there wasn't enough action on the mat he would put you on the clock which meant a timekeeper would start a 15 second countdown where if the action didn't pick up you'd be stood up. Sadly he couldn't do the same on the feet which would result in being put in 50-50 guard or something.

I enjoyed the story Schaub told about the people he was watching Rousey vs. McMann with negging Ronda without knowing that Brendan and her were "close" "Would you gently caress Ronda? Nah man, she's too big!"

Ninja PD posted:When is Diaz going to be on the show or was that just promo bullshit from Joe again? I really doubt Joe is the one who was bullshitting us about that. I'm certain what happened is Nick agreed to go on the podcast and flaked on it, which is what basically everybody expected from the beginning. Nick routinely skips out on UFC pressers that he was contractually obligated to do, its crazy to expect him to actually fulfill an informal agreement to go on a podcast. He probably told Joe he'd be on the show, then later he realized that would entail sitting in a room and talking to people for 90+ minutes and he decided he couldn't handle that. I'd say what Joe should have done is tried to get Nate on the show, because I think Nate would actually show up and do it. Alternatively Joe should have just kept it to himself until he'd actually recorded the show, and only then made an announcement about it. Don't count your Nick Diaz interviews before they've hatched.
