If you want to start a new thread every week do it but I have no idea why it even matters or it's probably not something we need an Official Ruling on. Do whatever your heart tells you is right.

I propose once the James Andrews pic fills up that the frame be expanded and players just added willy nilly in various rotations. That or we redo it altogether and make the player pictures even smaller.

I don't know if it was SAS specifically but I think the other two on the hype train were Jeff Karstens and Tyler Clippard.

Banuelos and Betances.

The only reason to have weekly threads is because no thread title joke can possibly remain funny for more than seven days.

Scob posted:Besides joba and hughes who were the rest of five aces that swept yankee sas fandom in the mid to late aughts? The rotation I remember fearing in my dumb young days was Hughes/Joba and then the killer B's of Brackman/Banuelos/Betances. Kennedy and Tyler Clippard were also up there. Of course, this paled in comparison to the sure-fire, ace-filled rotation of the Mariners, what with Felix/Fister/Pineda/Hultzen at the top

leokitty posted:The Five Aces thing was a crazy NYY Fans dude people made fun of. I think he dubbed it the Royal Flush and it was something like Hughes, Clippard, Garcia, Horne and Wang. I think it was before the Yankees drafted Kennedy and Chamberlain but I could be wrong. edit: vvv ahaha good memory, that was definitely the dude "Royal Flush: Hughes, Sabathia, Betances, Brackman, Banuelos." I am pretty sure his Royal Flush has changed several times over the years Streebs fucked around with this message at 21:56 on May 1, 2014 |
