I don't know why it never occurred to me that the actress Dominique Dunne was the daughter of journalist Dominick Dunne. She played the older sister in Poltergeist and her unfortunate death is part of that whole "The movie was totally cursed you guys!"-mythos. She was strangled to death by her abusive and possesive ex-boyfriend. No, no, no you guys. the worst loving episode of "Sword and Scale" was the one without no loving warning that starts of with a guy talking about how he choked and sexually abused his young son. I've just started listening to "Thinking Sideways" and it's OK. "Criminal" is really good but it rarely updates. In Denmark a lot of people go "Oh haha people from Greenland are just drunks". What pisses me off is that no one ever mentions that hey, we literally colonized the poo poo out of Greenland, forced their children to mainly if not only speak danish, had them come here and then didn''t get that forcing people to abandon their home only to then ridicule them for where they came from isn't a good structure for anyone. Any time I mention that it's really lovely seeing that we loving colonized their country I always get the "Wow, wow, it's not like were America, so like calm down". No, we colonized a country that we don't even live in and chose how the native population was supposed to live (and love benefiting from any of their resources) and now we treat them like a joke. A lot of countries used to do really, really lovely things, and now were still doing lovely things because we wont recognize that said lovely thing had an influence on both groups. Urgh, it's been years since I read about this AIDS denial poo poo, and I wish I would have never read about it again. I have had multiple family members die of complications from HIV and AIDS. Including a 2 year old niece. Most of these people were dirt poor and lived in the rural mountainsides of Tanzania with little access to proper healthcare (Thankfully, it's quickly getting a lot better up there). gently caress any well of poo poo head who causes the excruciating death of their own loving children because of "The Man and Big Pharma!". Wow that sure is unnerving. I hope she's just a weird kid and not in any actual danger. It's creepy and fascinating how social media and the internet in general can let you take a look into the days and hours leading up to horrible stuff happening. The last time I saw this kind of conspiracy surrounding a teen youtube vlogger it was this girl who people insisted were being isolated and abused by her mother. The mom came of as weird and very overprotective but I just kind of thought that people were being creepy and over-reactionary. Checked up on her. She fled to Japan to be with a boyfriend to get away from her mother who proved to be just as manipulative and terrible as people had been speculating.
