This isn't a horrendous card in the slightest, but the lack of star power is going to make people think it's skippable. Holy hell are there a ton of fights. My Main Man Matt The Immortal Brown (MMMMTIB) is in a strange spot. He's currently riding a six fight win streak, but all against fringe top 15 level opposition. He was once scheduled against Carlo Conduit, but had to withdraw due to injury, so now there's an x factor to consider. Will the former addict be able to bounce back from being under the knife? Probably. He's Matt Brown, after all. This is a must win fight, as it doesn't really do much for The Man than just keep him in the vague sense of a potential title shot. Erick Silva is an enigma. Once touted as an emerging prospect (and still considered one by some for reasons I can't really understand) the Brazilian has had a literal win one, lose one resume since his UFC debut. And if you're a traditionalist he won't be losing to Matt Brown as he is due for a loss. Dude, I've watched Larkin and Philippou fight a bunch and I have nothing to say about either of them. I'm not sure if that's a reflection on my garbage memory or this being a garbage fight. Prediction: This will be Fight of the Night. After doing the weird rear end move of going UP in weight, Erik Koch has been looking like a guy who hurts people for money, and he looks good doing it. And honestly, having Cruickshank as a dance partner is a nice blend of violence that should be one for the ages. Oh boy. Neil of the House Magny is back and raring to go so strap yourselves in or go grab a snack. Tim Means is back as well. Who knew that had happened? Fat Dudes Incorporated Soa Palelei and Ruan Potts. Go ahead and brace yourselves for getting to witness one half of one of the worst fights in UFC History (shout outs to Nikita Krylov) fight a guy I've never head of at all. Louis Smolka is a legit fun to watch prospect that you should keep an eye on. Rafael Natal! Darrell Montague! Eddie Wineland! Nik Lentz! Ben Wall! Jesus, Neil Magny is really on the main card over Eddie Wineland. They could have at least had the decency to put Wineland on Fight Pass instead of on a channel that does not exist.

Yeah Lentz did a pretty good amount of damage to Chad standing and off his back. He just couldn't stop the takedowns.

Seriously though. Why the gently caress is Eddie Wineland on the prelims? I have a soft spot for the whole RoufusSport camp, and am very much looking forward to seeing him beat the crap out Cruikshanks. Who I always confuse with Wonderboy Thompson for some reason.... but yeah. What are your breakdowns of that fight? I feel like Koch will have a decided edge standing and Joe Rogan will act very surprised at how easily he dismantles Karate guy.

Is it so hard to believe that a journalist who has followed the sport since its inception would have a source who would be able to give him an idea of how many Fight Pass viewers they have? It's a much easier thing to track and count up than PPV buys. I can go on twitch.tv and see that there are still 1,800 people watching twitch plays pokemon right now. Hell his source is probably Joe Silva.

He's always more reliable in MMA on the business end, probably the same people who broke the details of their last Strikeforce contract or whatever, maybe the dude who used to contribute to his site and works in their German division. Maybe Joe Silva wrote an angry letter about Pancrase? If business is good (and it sounds like Fight Pass is doing well) you are more apt to let the beans spill.
