I think that Dorne is his safest bet. He's not going to be able to disappear, even in Essos. But he would be under Oberyn's protection if he went to Dorne.

To be fair, Robb had a very strong chivalry/courtly love vibe, and he was crazy in love with his wife (she wasn't just Braavosi strange to him). The issue is simply that being chivalrous and/or putting love above duty tends to get you killed in Westeros, as I imagine it did in actual medieval times.
