To be fair, Robb had a very strong chivalry/courtly love vibe, and he was crazy in love with his wife (she wasn't just Braavosi strange to him). The issue is simply that being chivalrous and/or putting love above duty tends to get you killed in Westeros, as I imagine it did in actual medieval times.
