Add me to the group who thought this was easily the weakest of the V/H/S films, albeit still pretty good. Unlike the other two, though, it does feel like less than the sum of its parts, because that frame story is just so much weaker. Bonestorm and Parallel Monsters were both drat good, although I didn't like either as much as my favorites from the first two - but Dante the Magician, ehhhh.

How did earlier posters decide it was an AI in the ice cream van? There's no real indication given and it might as well be supernatural and/or inexplicable like the VCR playing the last tape in VHS 1 by itself.
