Yep. Imagine the English calling their national team just "the team". I've never heard anyone calling the "Nationalmannschaft" just "die Mannschaft".

Also the Russian imperial eagle might be a bit unpopular in certain places right now with the Ukraine situation as it is. It looks badass though.

This is a terrible article because it's apparently not at all what happened. Rossberg was there but wasn't the one actually involved with the accident, they weren't out for a joyride or anything it was some sponsored publicity/advertising event and they had closed/cleared the road and the guys who got hit were two spectators that stood way too close.

e: also that article seems to suggest that they were passengers in F1 cars which is incredibly funny.

They couldn't bring Ilkay G�ndogan or Mario Gomez for injury reasons. As much as I like G�ndogan, I think Gomez is a bigger loss since up top they really only have a kid or an old man. This shouldn't matter that much, though, since the goals should mostly come from the midfielders (Reus, G�tze, M�ller, Kroos) anyway, and Miro probably still has it in him to poach a couple.

England were poo poo but they beat Germany 1-0 in that group tbf. 1968 you could contest though since Germany were knocked out by Yugoslavia, who then went on to face England in the next round and eliminate them too. That makes them equally poo poo.
