Math curricula have changed before with changes in technology (Sine table? What's that?) and will continue to do so. In my parents' day, logarithms were introduced much earlier because they were necessary to understand how to use a slide rule. Nowadays, they put that in high school algebra because no one uses slide rules anymore.

The day I got my Ph.D. two people told me they hated math. Every time I meet someone new, they tell me they hate math once they learn what I do.

Is this your experience with Chemistry?

Less chemistry generally, and more people complaining about how organic chemistry made them reconsider their life choices/derailed their med school dreams/turned them into an English major.
