I've really enjoyed this season so far, I've had some pretty decent results but you're looking unstoppable at the moment. Hope nothing happens to any of your players..

My team isn't even that great! Just had an amazing run of luck (which you'd know all about, eh eh).

What are some good other private leagues? I'm loving this and I keep getting invites to pubbie leagues that sound terrible. I'd rather join a big well run league, if there is anything suitable out there.

This is a league I have been in for a while now, its really well run with a lot of good managers, I'd recommend it. Don't know if there are vacancies, but could be worth contacting the admin and asking to be kept in mind! Sometimes they will have an inactive manager they will sack if they have a replacement available. If you wanted I could ask them?

I'd also recommend the Bullet league, really fast pace with short seasons which is great if you like developing players!

drat, that's the exact inverse of what I thought long-range shots did :/ Based on the graphic I thought it would bypass the midfield entirely and have my defenders hoof it to my forwards. Oh well, I'll know better for next time!

What you're thinking of is called long balls - it bypasses the midfield in part and can help when you are outmatched in that arena. It should be a checkbox on the right hand side of the tactics screen alongside offside traps, pressure, etc.

A players form depend on how well they performs in a particular match so your form could drop if they didn't preform as well as they normally should do.
Drops can easily happen.. This is why I prefer to keep my players at high form. The result of high form is high performance, but at a higher cost.
There is a trade between keeping your form high and don't having to train so often, and the chance of them dropping due to a poor performance.

I hate to quote the rules, but I find them quite informative sometimes:

The rules posted:

What affects the form
A player's form will as mentioned above also depend on how well he/she performs in a particular match. For example, a goalkeeper will raise his form if he/she makes a lot of good saves but his/her form will be lowered if he/she lets in a lot of goals. Defenders will raise their form if they do not give the opponents too many scoring chances. Midfielders will raise their form if they create a lot of scoring chances. Attackers will raise their form if the team often scores when having the opportunity. Furthermore form also depends on individual factors. A missed opportunity to score will lower the form slightly especially for an attacker. A player who misses a penalty will also lower his/her form slightly whilst the goalkeeper who saves it will raise his/her form. There are in other words a lot of things that can affect form. In addition to this the normal form update will also be a big factor when it comes to form changes. Read more about these below.

Yikes, I am continuing my 1-point loss trend with very close matches. I'm going to be relegated by the RNG this season at this rate.

My star forward played 4 skill points lower than his level this game. Yikes. He's not even moody and his form was pretty good.

Edit: Serious Business A is pretty well set for who's relegated and who's not this season. A 5-point difference between neighboring tiers:

Great game Rapner. I've been involved in so many ugly ones recently - 4 injuries, 3 yellows and a red tonight. Neither of us even had bruise on!

Getting a bit nervous as the games load recently as I don't want to break the streak. I know it'll end at some stage but ff

Jesus, a 88 minute goal after that many injuries to lose 0-1. I'm very happy with how I handled that against a drastically stronger team.

Main lesson I learned is that I should have soaped relentlessly.

Well played though, I went too aggressive and very nearly got punished for it. Plus you tanked my form a fair bit in the midfield.

Well, looking at just the stats you have one of the weakest teams in the division while also having the second worst form in the division, thats just asking for trouble!

You have some good players in the squad but not enough of them to compete in what is actually quite a strong division. The likes of Owen and Moody are never going to be good enough so if I was you I'd just move them on, accept your relegation, get two more youths and play all your kids for the rest of the season. Sometimes you gotta go down to get stronger so I'd be looking to where you want to be 2/3 seasons from now and plan accordingly!

Whatever you do, sort that form out! You won't get better players unless you have good form!

Well, as I say its a strong division so there may be little you can do in that regard, not without improving the squad.

Opinions may vary on this and I might be contradicting myself a little, but if your form is going to be so bad because of losing it may be worth actually taking some of those kids out of the firing line for 1/2 matches. There is diminishing returns from match experience anyway, so bench them and train them for a few weeks, then play them again when their form is high. The DV of youths is heavily linked to form, so your low form could be harming the development of those young players.

In other news, I got a 19/5 cheating midfielder from the youth academy. Not worth a drat to anybody but I figured I'd stick him on the transfer list, see if I could get 47,000 for him, then just sack him when he didn't sell because 19/5's aren't really worth anything.

There have been 7 bids on him, now up to 418,000. Weird.

Yeah, when you're on a losing streak it is sometimes worthwhile to give up the season as lost and start managing to maximize match time for your players, tanking in order to earn DV. Speaking as someone who's tanked more than his fair share of seasons, it does make a difference.

Haha, my drop wasn't as drastic as that but it does look like my midfield form has been just about cut in half from where they were before - except funnily enough for the guy who was tightly marked by you. Has been good to see your side turn it around so rapidly.

Do the top 2 from each Retu Nagele division go up? I figure they do, just wanted to check. I'm going to have to start juggling players around for DV soon and I only have one gimme game left this season.

The top team in each division is guaranteed promotion, and the two highest-scoring second-place finishers get it as well. So of the four Retu divisions, there are six promotions.
