This is the first and only time I've had any technical problems with Ustream. It's taken me almost an hour to get them to display a proper order page so I could order the show, and now that I finally ordered, it won't display the stream.

Pretty good show, no true stand-outs really but the final three matches really built up nicely and the final match of the night definitely deserved its spot.

Edit: Also nice to see a foreign wrestler who has actually learned to speak the language.

Attendance was 1,680 according to Strong Style Spirit.

That sounded pretty terrible to me, but since I'm a sad dork and it's a slow morning at work I checked to see what was reported for Day 1 in Korakuen last year. It ended up being 1,650, so pretty much the same practically speaking. I'd have liked to have seen some growth, but at least they're not moving backwards.

The only one of the three Korakuen dates last year that did appreciably better was the finals with a reported 2,015 Super No Vacancy. They booked a slightly larger Tokyo building this year (3,200 capacity), hope they can sell out the Finals at least.

Karl and Devitt pretty much used to fly in for tours then head home as soon as possible afterwards. Kenny pretty much lives out there now. I hear Shelly has picked up a lot of the language though now.

Shame about Koslov. That match was shaping up to be really good before his shoulder popped out again. Just finished the show from Friday and thought it was dead average until the main event. Omega and Taguchi both looked drat good. Hopefully we get better overall match quality in the Finals next weekend.
