One thing I did notice was that the thickness of the armor now very much does determine how much spalling you get. Thin armor means it will punch right through and you get 1 big, heavy slug and a tiny bit of shrapnel shooting through. Thick armor means you have an ungodly mess of spall shrapnel and slug fragments making a shotgun of doom.

Most of those nerfs seem to be aimed at the shell spalling, but the armor spalling probably makes up for it.

Yeah it's probably a nerf against lightly armored stuff. I already bring 5 HE rounds whenever I take Brit Tonks out just because removing trucks can be annoying with slugs and MGs. There's gonna be a bit of a weird spot though of lightly armored stuff that has just enough armor to defend against normal HE that AP slugs will just shoot right through and do gently caress-all unless they hit a gun-breach or set the engine on fire.

17-pounders can reliably hull break light vehicles even with AP, last I checked. I was able to do it to an 88 truck at least.

armee de l'air would be a cool addition, they had some very promising aircraft in small numbers, esp. in the ground attack/ fast medium bomber roles. and of course the early jet age would give you cool poo poo like the ouragan, magister, vautour, etc. French plane porn incoming Bloch mb.175 Breguet 693 Potez 63.11 LeO 451 Amiot 354 They also operated what is probably my favorite American plane that never saw American use, the Martin Maryland so sexy. did i mention wing mounted mgs I usually think of farmans as fugly angular things, but the Nc. 2234 was imo one of the nicer looking heavy bombers of the war(despite/ due to it being designed for other duties)...also the first iirc to successfully bomb Berlin (Jules Verne depicted here doing just that) side view an article about the escapades of Jules Verne: http://talesanecdotesandtrivia.blogspot.com/2015/05/jules-verne-bombed-berlin.html tl;dr french planes r kool free hubcaps fucked around with this message at 13:59 on May 24, 2017 |

A further 80 incendiaries were dropped by hand by Deschamps and Corneillet and two or three clips of machine gun ammunition were spent in an attempt to hit the search lights. Flight engineer Corneillet finished the raid by throwing out his shoes at the capitol of the Third Reich.

I just really like twin engine planes Also as previous poster said most of the fighters they had in service couldn't compete with the 109 at all but there were a few types in the flying prototype/early production series state that were pretty good aircraft. The Germans were impressed enough with Bloch's mb.157 prototype (a super refined/advanced version of the mediocre Mb.152) that they took it back to Germany with them for testing after the armistice.
