So I've been a poster here about four years and I figured I'd finally dare to post a topic. I'm not sure it will be a good one at all but it's something I'm really interested in and SA is by far the most active and populated forum I frequent so I figured I'd get the highest number of replies from here. I was recently reading up on a few games elsewhere and someone said David Cage was the worst video game writer ever. Someone else said no he isn't and the whole argument went nowhere because, gently caress, who are some video game writers? For better or worse, video game writers aren't exactly all that well known even to the gaming community. Even something like Wikipedia isn't always a guaranteed source of this info. And so I wanted to do this topic, to compile a list of known video game writers. Now I cannot stress this enough - this is not about writing quality or talent. All that is required is that they have produced what is generally agreed to be a Video Game and be credited with writing something in it, such as the characters or the scenario or whatever else. I have a decent list to start off with thanks to some people elsewhere but my sincerest hope is that you guys can help expand it even more. I also hope that this can help "spread the word" a bit more about certain writes since, like I said earlier, they tend to be overlooked even by nerdy gamers like ourselves. 1. Iunno, is this really that good of an idea for a list? If you're interested in knowing who wrote a game, you can generally google it. To make this not a random thread poo poo, Takumi Miyajima wrote Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Symphonia 2, and Tales of the Abyss.

Rhianna Pratchett also wrote the Overlord series and Tomb Raider (2013). She also co-wrote Risen 1 to some extent.

Wow, this thread is still alive? I'm impressed. I only got a couple posts to start off with so i kinda forgot about it here but I got plenty of input elsewhere and so i edited the OP with the updated list.
