mgs2 substance is legit as gently caress on every system except the xbox, where it has a full half second input lag for no discernable reason so many of the new missions are fun

I'm sad they doubled back on the direction they were going in creating the one of the only outwardly postmodern games ever. It's all a simulation inside of a simulation, plus they were on something interesting about the overpreponderence of data in the upcoming years leading to a unmanagable universe where everything gets preserved but nothing gets passed on. MGS4 doesn't address any of these themes but instead spends the whole game trying to tie whatever they had done thus far in the series into some sort of cohesive, narrative- I mean it's like they make each games without any thought whatsoever as to what the sequel will be. I mean the villains are basically stupid- fortune, vamp, and fatman do nothing for anyone, and Solidus is BOTH the president AND a big boss clone AND a warlord in Lybia or whatever? Raiden, that man is not a factor in this mission, you have to rescue the president. Why does the president grab Raiden's crotch? I never understood. Some kind of japanese joke? Did he (a)think Raiden was a woman or android and (b)feel it was necessary to "be absolutely certain"? If the patriots are just some kind of computer program, how do they take Olga's baby? About a hundred years ago...

Hello OP. I agree that MGS2 is literally the worst MGS ever made. Raiden is a shithead bitch loser. Games where you don't play as Snake are Bad.
