It dosen't feel like the story missions are as arbitrary, as he brings up that he wants the money and drugs he owes to his higher-ups often. Also Lance is a great love interest, who is supportive and appreciates your work

Horizon Zero Dawn: The second boss fight is a surprise attack by some masked goons who want to kill you for as yet unexplained plot reasons. The first round is just dudes with fire arrows. The second round escalates the action by adding dudes that charge at you with swords. The third round is when the boss shows up and he has a chain gun! When you defeat him, you can take the gun for yourself and use it to shred the remaining enemies with bullets.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time: I've been pleasantly surprised by the generosity and camaraderie the other apprentices of the explorer's guild has shown to me. Last night, even though Chatot punished us for our failure and made both Chikorita and I go without dinner, the senior apprentices all saved a portion of their food for us to eat in the morning! Such altruism is all too rare in human workplaces.
