A very physical team benefits over a finesse team in a loosely called game, even when the calls are all fair. Tighter calls benefit the finesse teams.

I thought the second half of the game when things settled down a bit was really entertaining, no? I could easily see a similar situation play out in Miami with the Spurs snatching a win in the last couple minutes. I want 7 Games dammit! The officiating was pretty garbage but the Spurs threw this one away. Four consecutive missed free throws, gave up some wide open 3's, and generally just got away from their game plan in those last minutes. The ball was sticking a LOT.

I'm not goin to lie I am 100% ok with banning ref chat. It's only going to be spurs and heat fans taking pot shots at each other the whole time. I'm guilty of it as well.

My sense of humor often involves setting myself up as the joke. If you don't understand I'm joking I'll just look dumb to you. I actually find that funnier than when people understand that I'm joking. It's a lot harder to do over the internet, my favorite example being when I said that Tony Parker is clearly better than Derrick Rose but he only looked worse in a game they played against each other because Parker was being guarded by Rose and Rose was only being guarded by Parker. People took me seriously.

I don't have access to ESPN or an internet connection decent enough to watch any of these games so I like that the posters in this thread - which is basically my only source for info on how the game is going/has gone - cover all aspects of the match, including how bad the officiating is.

In order to come to the conclusion that the Spurs do not perform well in "clutch" situations you have to ignore a very long history of the Spurs performing well in important games. Including this game I think Gregg Popovich's playoffs W-L with the team is now 146-90, been to the finals five times and won it four. Hah anyways analysis is always the team that won most recent is going to continue winning indefinitely, it's always all over forever

Not taking away from the Heat but its also not like they failed, just things didn't go their way.
