Tanks are kinda wasted on invading the USSR

Commander Vilfred is declared Jarl of Trøndelag and Herre af Norge. To his south are what has come to be refered to as the "Norwegian Free Land", independent city states who are the remnants of the Swedish-Norwegian Kingdom, allied together to fight against their enemy to the east.

Fylkir Hemming continues his project of integrating the Irish land into the Scanian Kingdom without any opposition from the locals. The count of Værmland declares himself Jarl of Bergslagen after conquering the split-away state of Jernbæraland becoming the third Jarl in the Kingdom after Skåne and Trøndelag.

The passing of the year 1244 is a good one for Skåne, the expansion into Ireland and even the victory in the continent by the chieftain of Blekinge. Before the end of the year a son is born to the heir of Skåne and he is named Hemming in honor of his grandfather. However the Estrids keep spreading their tentacles within the Catholic world, now stretching even as far to put their own as Hochmeister of the Teutonic Order.

It looks as if the Kingdom is entering an age of growth, the cheiftains, jarls and even Kings coffers are so full that they spend them on expanding their armies and with ripe targets along their entire coast and border, war after war is started to claim it for Odin and his subjects. Even the second son of Hemming, Prince Halvor, asks his father for permission to travel to the much prestegious Varangian Guard of the Greek Empire in Miklagard.

It is truly a rebirth of the Norse Empire in Scandinavia as the expansion of its subjects continue and then a as the year turns to early spring in 1247 an ambitious Warrior by the name Palnatoke amasses a warband of no like before. Palnatoke is a lowborn who have been fighting as part of the Royal Retinue of Skåne since he came of age, he partook in the defense of the realm against the Cross worshippers numerous times and every battle helped in making his resolve absolute and his dedicated to worship of the Æsir unwavering. Through the rewards he has earned in his service to the King he puts that wealth into building the Ring Fortress of Jomsborg on the island of Rügen.

He establishes the controversial rules for the Jomsvikings going against much of ordinary tradition of Viking tradition and warfare, among them being that looting was strictly forbidden by any member of the order. The code of Palnatoke as it will become to be known includes passages that enforces a strict code of conduct to create a sense of incredible military discipline among the members. Any violation of these rules could be punished with immediate expulsion from the order. Each Jomsviking was bound to defend his brothers, as well as to avenge their deaths if necessary. He was forbidden to speak ill of his fellows or to quarrel with them. Blood feuds between members were to be mediated by Jomsviking officers. Jomsvikings were forbidden to show fear or to flee in any challenge posed to them. No Jomsviking was permitted to be absent from Jomsborg for more than three days without the permission of the brotherhood. No women or children were allowed within the fortress walls, and none were to be taken captive. The goal of Palnatoke was to create an army who served the gods and not their own desires. In that he succeeded...

Another son is born to the Crown Prince who is named after Gorm the Old, the last Norse King of Denmark. A large war is started as well in central Europe over religious matter and disagreements over who is to actually be seated in Rome to lead their flocks. However Fylkir Hemming senses a opportunity....

... and takes it!

The Jomsvikings are called to Trelleborg to join the war effort which they gladly accept. Meanwhile the Chieftain of Desmond declares his own Holy War for Connachta to take more of Ireland before the Scottish do.

In order to fight so many wars the Lords of Denmark approves a new law giving the Estrid King in Hungary even more control of his demesne in the north. The Jomsvikings take positions in the island of Sjælland. The Hungarians are confident they will be victorious and proceeds to engage the warriors of Odin.

However they barely do any damage to the defenders and lose themselves more than half of their army. With the victory Palnatoke feels confident on his success and propose to the Allthing that a fortress dedicated to the Jomsvikings is to be built next to Uppsala to ensure the holy lands safety for all future. The proposal is accepted without hesitation.

With the stunning success of the Jomsvikings the victory seems to already be assured and Crown Prince Jørgen is promised that he shall be given the Chiefdom of Halland as soon as the war is won. The viking soldiers are quick to block the only entrance to the Scandinavian Peninsula.

It doesn't take long however until the rest of the catholic world hears of the Viking mimicry of establishing a Holy Order, even going so far to place it on the continent itself. The pope declares the Second Crusade For Sweden.

To make sure Trelleborg is ready to face the years of war to come King Hemming does a large investment into the keep of the fortress. A small engagement is performed in the German land of Holstein to force out the Hungarians and the Greeks from the war.

For now the Scanian armies and the Jomsvikings retreat back into the peninsula preparing to defend against the hordes of Catholics traveling by galleys to the northern shores. A small scout force of the Kaiser has already landed in catholic city state of Akershus. New young and ambitious men are drafted from the entire realm to be trained in Trelleborg to serve in the Royal Army of Skåne.

You would think having to fight the entire power base of Europe would make a man worry. However King Hemming was an inspiring commander who lead by example. He refused to show fear in-front of his commanders and it was through that stubbornness and resolve that gave the soldiers the morale they needed to keep going. The first battle takes place in the heartland of Sweden against the Navarran soldiers and the Papal army....

... but their god is weak.

The German army engages the Royal army without knowing that they are already too late and another eight thousand cross worshipers die to Northern steel.

Two years later the war is still going on but it has slowly turned into a war of attrition, the catholic lands starting to run empty of young men to send to the front. Scotland and Brandenburg tries another attempt however foolishly land in the most north of Skåne in the middle of the winter. Hemming dispatches his army to deal with the invaders during the summer and they are all killed before winter falls again.

And in that battle the King of Scotland is captured and taken to the dungeons of Trelleborg. This second crusade of Sweden is starting to go the very same direction as the first one, a complete catastrophe not only militarily but also in prestige. Hemming however is focusing both on his military and his economy trying to keep his nation afloat during this crisis. Luckily Trelleborg is the center of talented people in the Northern lands and innovation comes when it is most needed.

The Germans try to improve their situation and try to establish a supply base in Gotland together with the remnants of the Swedish Loyalists. An army is sent to root them out from the island.

Thanks to the war the blacksmiths and trainers of the Army is never out of supply from money or resources and as such improve immensily during these years. With stronger military power than the Kaiserreich itself Fylkir Hemming persuades his commanders that it is time to go on the offensive. The Jarl of Trøndelag thinking the safety of the realm is now secure declares his own war for the Danish crown, wanting to become King himself.

With the core land of Christianity itself being at risk the Kaiser pressures the Pope to sign peace with the heathens and safety and peace has been assured for the followers of the Æsir gods and they have proved that their belief is the strongest! Well at least...

....for now....

The Scottish King feel challenged by the Scanish presence in the Emerald Isle and the King would not accept that their God had forsaken them and that the Crusade would have been a failure and declares his own Crusade for the Scanian Demesne of Ireland. King Marcas of Scotland wasn't the only one to take this opportunity but some Swedes who feel they are not to be ruled by a Dane in Trelleborg rise in revolt to create their own Norse Swedish Kingdom.

However even with all of this chaos, more is to be appear but thank the gods for it! The strange merchants from the far west truly shows themselves to be the fore warning of a great invasion from these foreigners. A horde of longboat-like ships are spotted of the coast of Ireland with the largest army ever seen to Europe. It lands in Connachta and quickly establishes a beachhead. The following is a massacre of the population in the entire county and news travel fast across Europe of the horrors.

The scholars of Trelleborg go into search for answer if any of the Sagas could mention this horrible enemy, if Thor have failed to protect Midgard from one of the ancient threats to mankind. However the closest they could find was by the catholic Navigator Leif Eriksson and his father Erik the Red. Men of flesh and blood, even how hard it would be to believe. Their ancient name is Skrælings.

Another armada of longboats arrive with another equal horde of soldiers pouring in over the Irish island.

However these Skrælings do not only bring war and sickness but their traders also bring a lot of curious goods from the west.

But the Crusade have taken its toll on the land, desiese and food shortage is rampant within Skåne and eventually the dearest of Fylkir Hemming dies, his first born child and heir. However the sadness will not end there, because our dear Fylkir engages the Swedish rebels in the battle of Arvika...

... and is taken by the Valkyres. Throwing the entire Kingdom into despair and confusion. The Fylkir title falls upon Vilfred of Trøndelag while the responsibility of protecting the Kingdom falls upon the thirteen year old Hemming II, Long live the King!

During this time of troubles the Queen of Hungary dies, thanks to untimely deaths she is the last of Estrids to hold the crowns of Hungary, Poland and Denmark and the new ruler is of a house never heard of before.

Even though it is war and unrest in the Kingdom, young King Hemming does not neglect his duties and makes sure he will become the King his people deserve. However it doesn't take long until the Aztecs subdue the Scottish and then lock their eyes to the south. King Hemming the second is however a clever boy and don't want to waste his precious resources in a war he knows he will lose and immediately surrender to the Aztec managing to persuade them to only take Kildare. He also manages to pull off to let the Jomsvikings keep their fortress in the county.

With the uncertain succession in Denmark-Hungary-Poland the land implodes yet again to revolts straining the crown. The old Stenkilling familly come out from exile in Iceland and declares war for Bergenhus in Norway trying to restore their glory as rulers of Norway-Sweden. Late the same year King Hemming II comes of age and takes his full duties as King of Skåne.

The Skræling's start yet another war by invading the land of Northumberland of England, the Scottish join the war to try and defend their Anglo-saxon neighbor, In return the English King joins the war for southern Ireland and in response the Jomsvikings finally prepared and refilled with soldiers offer to join the war against the Scottish to defend the land of Milzas. For the English the winter proves itself disastrous for outsiders not used to it and thousands of men die to it.

However it does not look bright for the future of both the Scottish and the Norwegian wars so King Hemming does the only thing he can do, he surrenders to the Stenkillings and give them the county of Bergenhus in order to protect the ancestral land of the von Marienburg family. Now with a dim light of chance Hemming recollects his troops in Sjælland to transport them for another push into the Scottish army. Before leaving for battle Fate smiles upon Hemming as his wife tells him she is pregnant with his cihld.

As they travel along the North sea the Monghol Khanate converts to the Moslem faith. The liberation army finally arrives on the shores of Veisafjord and they immediately engage the Scottish to the south.

The Scottish King put up a valiant defense but King Hemming has a plan that with a stroke of luck will carry out without hitch. The right flank of the Scanians falls while the left one succeeds in pushing back the enemy right flank. As they enter into the bloodier phase of engagement the middle flank of the Scottish King completely collapses and the army is annihilated...

... and the King is captured as he flees by the right flank that routed earlier and he is forced to surrender the war! Milzasland is safe!

With Ireland now safe and out of harms way the Fylkir, furious over losing his land to the Catholic scums, declares a hoyl war of the same magnitude as the Catholics Crusades. King Hemming II protests against in the Allthing saying that we should not rely to the same methods as their enemies. However Hemming wants to be rather safe than sorry and spends a smaller fortune in improving the levies and military support of Piksborg in Värend.

Hemming pressures the Fylkir into agreeing that he shall not take the Kingdom for himself, but that rather it shall be given to a Stenkilling family member who worships the Æsir gods. The candidate being Ingvar Stenkilling. However this seems to be crucial for the Great Holy War as it persuades others lords to join it, to take up arms in name of the faith and solidarity of their brethren instead for the selfish claims of the current Fylkir.

Soon after the promised child is born without complications and its a healthy baby boy who Hemming names Jørgen after his late father who never got to be King.

Even though he disapproves of the war, Hemming keeps a clsoe eye on it, the Queen of Denmark pledges her support to the Catholic side of the Stenkilling family but She is still not done with her own internal problems and is not going to be a nuisance. However the the battles are quite Even all way until the Duke of Lymrek arrive, the warriors of the von Marienburg immediately start chasing down the Norwegian soldiers in the mountains. And the Fylkariate soldiers manages to turn the tide and win against the Norwegian soldiers they've engaged.

However the strangers from the west does not take pity upon their neighbors and not before long they invade the land that Hemming just managed to save, southern Ireland. It becomes quickly obvious that nothing can be done to stop them as well and as such Hemming surrenders The von Mareinburg family scatters all over Scandinavia trying to take refuge from being sacrificed to the Nahua gods.

During the short war Hemmings wife Tora became pregnant once again and upon signing the peace she gives birth to a healthy baby boy. With hopes that the troubled times has passed them Hemming takes up scholarship and start to study ancient tomes of both the old sagas but also anything from rest of Europe that he can gets his hands on.

The First Great Holy War started by Fylkir Vilfred is a success, taking the Kingdom of Norway and giving it to Chief Ingvar of Hjaltland, an infirm vassal of Palnatoke of the Jomsvikings giving a very interesting conclusion...

And in the year 1270 King Hemming passes laws through the Allthing to centralize the power to the King, obligating his chieftains to provide him with more levies in case of need, if the Skrælings ever decide to strike at their heartland.

I have no idea, I didn't expect it to go to Jomsvikings. I thought that the Stenkilling guy would take the crown of Norway. At least now they can serve as a buffer perhaps against any potential Aztecs.
And it will be interesting to see an independent state of Jomsvikings who might even colonize America in EU4.

The Jomsvikings Order, the eternal defenders against the Nahautl invaders and by the might given to them by Odin they will hold the seas, they will hold the land and they will in time themselves strike at the heart of the Aztec Emperor! LONG LIVE THE BROTHERHOOD!

Hmm I might have to do a side story in regards to the Jomsvikings later on because I'm sure they will be interesting :D

Tanks are kinda wasted on invading the USSR

This is an excerpt from a paper published in Trelleborg University translating the old runic scriptures that was written by Thorbrand, Commander of Athlone during the first Nahua invasion of Europe and this paper was published in the late 19th century.

The land known in local tongue by Kildare was conquered during the reign of Fylkir Hemming 'the Fat' in the year 1257. In the same year our founder Palnatoke 'the Just' with help from the Fylkir seized the fortress on the west side of the river Shannon at Luan's crossing. The fortress by the locals was called Baile Átha Luain but for short we used the word Athlone. I was among the first Brothers to arrive at the site and I had been given the duty as Stjórnandi af Athlone. My first tasks when me and my retinue arrived was to usurp the administrations and prepare the fortress for the garrison dispatched from Jomsborg that would arrive in the coming month.

The architecture of Athlone is very similar to most other Irish Fortresses but being a natural convergence point for travel in the region it is quite wealthy and well built. These stone structures are very different from our own in the homeland and their constructions are much more advanced than anything we are capable to construct. I was ordered by Palnatoke to have our finest scholars study the fortress and I was been given lavish amounts of wealth to pay for any repairs or additions that we would need to have performed. Throughout the years the scholars learned much from the Irish constructions and plans were made to expand on the fortress and a formal request was given to his lordship Palnatoke to consider for Athlone's future. However given the peaceful state of the time in Ireland it was regarded as not necessary at the time to expand on the fortress.

It was quite peaceful for a long time in Ireland but there was indeed a noticeable tension at the border between the Scottish Irish demesne and the von Marienburg land to the south. Athlone was located exactly on the border and acted as Vanguard against Scottish incursion. I joined several parties that entered into Scotland on peaceful missions to study and learn about the Irish and the Scottish and it seemed as if the Irish lords didn't mind our presence even if the Scottish King had outright forbidden it. In the year 1259, a year after the ascension of King Hemming II, Athlone had started to have both Catholic and Norse settlers around the fortress as it had become a central hub of trading between the Irish lords to the north and the Danish lords to the south thanks to my neutral stance in the matter of the Scottish-Scanish tension.

However the year of 1259 is quite important. For some months before that new merchants had started to appear in Connachta who sold the most exotic wares I had ever laid eyes upon. They wore strange dressing featuring feathers and colorful patterns I have not seen before. However upon when dealing with these I couldn't help but notice how closely their naval vessels resembled our own longboats and one of my scholars at Athlone pointed out he has read something resembling these merchants in a passage from the Eric The Red sagas. The Skræling's he called them.

From these merchants I learned about the Far West and I even invited one of them to Athlone to have my scholars scribble down everything as we discussed our so vast apart worlds with each other. We learned they come from an Empire on the other side of the ocean that under it has several subject kings who must obey the administration of Tenochtitlan at all times. Its a wealthy land and through their wonders of floating gardens where they grow their crops throughout the empire their population has had a massive boom in the latest hundred years resulting in much of the neighboring tribes to have become displaced by the growing Nahua population. This has started to cause tension and strife in the latest of time and Tenochtitlan has been looking for ways to solve the issue of feeding these innumerable amount of subjects, failure to do so will most likely result in the implosion of the Empire.

Apparently the Emperor and his government in the Far West decided that settling in the fertile land of Ireland where they can grow their strange fruits of the dirt they had imported from a neighboring Empire equal to theirs, the Incas. In this year, 1259, the largest Armada that any man has seen in our World appears off the coast of Connachta. My scouts told me it mounted up to the thousands in longboats all filled to the brim with warriors sporting feathers, helmets that depicts birds and their strange weaponry of black sharp blades.

It was as if the gods had forsaken Midgard and let the worst of Yggdrasil enter our realm. Before the sun set the towns of Connachta had been emptied and its ground dyed crimson. The river running along Athlone was more blood than it was water. It did not escape any man on the island what had happened. The Scots and Irish did their best to stop the Aztecs to make landfall, fighting them on the shores but the Imperial Army of Tenochtitlan was too large to be bested by some petty kings. I can not even begin to count how many died on that wretched day [TL Note: The total death count of this conflict has been estimated to be ca. 800 000 thousand European lives excluding population that was killed by strife, famine, mistreatment and similar later.]

We honor the death in battle as a tribute to our foremost god Odin, but there was no honor or glory in how these Bird warriors fought. The horrors I saw those days are burned into my very being and neither me or my Brothers can ever forget what we witnessed. They saw no difference between man, woman or child nor did they spare the weak who could not fend. They would not rape or pillage but only burn and destroy within their path. An Irish young woman died in-front of our walls as we could not let her in. Her gut had been opened by the jagged black teeth of the Birds and in her hands she held her unborn child begging us to save it but we could do nothing but watch as she slowly faded. My Brothers had seen what terrors war could bring, but this was nothing like war.

When my depictions of what we've seen and what is to come reached our lord Palnatoke almost the entirety of the Order is moved to Athlone. Palnatoke had sworn upon formation of the Order that he would defend the faithful against any enemy and with the news of the Western invaders he decided that Kildare would be the frontier. He arranged massive amounts of wealth to be put into developing Athlone into an unbreakable fortress that would be able to withstand Ragnarok itself. He enlisted Scholars and Engineers from all across the world, hired to improve upon the walls and towers not caring for what their beliefs would be as long as they would work on Athlone.

When the Aztecs aim their eyes towards the south King Hemming the Second did his best to delay the Birds. In a scheme that would have made Loki proud he manages to trick the Nahua commander in Ulster to give them Kildare without opposition but still kept them unaware of the fortress being improved upon at Luan's crossing. When they however did realize several years later it was already too late to take it from our grasp and we could keep ourselves afloat by pillaging the rich supply train that the Aztecs had set up and incapable of defending. New recruits would be taken in from Jomsborg into the fortress in small warbands keeping a steady supply of manpower.

The Birds continued their expansion upon the rest of the Isles and we are now alone in Althone but we will hold steadfast. As rest of the land crumbled the stone walls of Athlone has kept the invaders at bay for almost a decade now. We've become a refuge for Christians and Norse alike, even several cross-worshipers have converted to join the order feeling their God have abandoned them. It does however worry me for what the future brings,, the walls might hold for now but the Birds are not a simple people and if they want to they will surely find a way to beat us. We must stay vigilant and be prepared for what they might bring. No matter what the walls of Athlone must not fall, we are the last guard before Ragnarok.

The Scourge gathers and my guard shall never end. I shall take no woman, hold no lands and have none offspring. I shall wear no family and I shall have no duties beyond the Order. I shall live and die at my station. I am the shield against ragnarok, I am the last wall against dispair. I pledge my life and honor to the service of Palnatoke and I forfeit my place in Valhalla as my guard of Midgard sees no end.

[TL Note: Later scriptures refer back to this passage as the 'Oath of the Jomsviking'.]

The messengers from the Jomsviking outposts in the west carry no good news with them and it seems most of the Isles have fallen, all except the Scottish and Welsh Kings who hold against the invaders against all odds somehow. At home the young king is viewed as weak and a coward. He gave up the Milzas land in Ireland without even calling upon the support of his vassals to protect the burial site of a Dýrlingur. This view is so far spread so even the Fylkir openly expresses how Valentin, the brother of King Hemming II, should be King of Skåne. In case of civil war the core land of Skåne isn't that impressive in comparison to the rest of the Kingdom. As such

In the Allthing King Hemming is also at large not favored for the very same reasons. As such Hemming does his best to weasel himself into the court of the Nahua commander and eventually succeeds in marrying his daughter to the first son of the commander. To somehow strengthen his control of his realm he procures resources into establishing a stricter line of legal conduct which would in time give him more power over his vassals.

Not really being a man of war other interests catch the Kings favor and he starts an endeavor on observing Yggdrasil going so far to building an observatory in Trelleborg. So caught up in this new hobby of his he doesn't even notice that his second daughter is born, or that the Jomsvikings are expanding on the continent.

It takes almost a full year but finally the observatory is finished and Hemming can finally start his journey to explore the world tree. After their expansion the Jomsvikings are hit with some internal strife. The legal inheritor of the Norwegian land protests to a celibate life within the order and rebels against them. While the Fylkariate argue over what position they should take in the conflict, Hemming dedicates all his time to study and asking himself if there are more worlds on the three than the nine that is told about in the Sagas, are there beings out there with the power and wisdom of the Æsir or the Vanir? Will we ever leave Midgard ourselves?

The Jomsvikings make an expensive expedition to the land in the west and brought back news from across the sea. It nearly sounds like a fairy tale and most of the realm just dismiss it as such. However the same year as the news arrive Hemmings wife give birth to twins.

Hemming continues his studies and the thought of beings existing on Yggdrasil takes root in his mind and he can't shake the terrible thought of what would happen if these beings would defeat their gods. Scared by this thought he orders that the army of Trelleborg has to be improved to protect him and his family in case of whatever could happen.

The Estrid empire has now properly collapsed with the de-facto split of Denmark-Poland and Pannonia ruled by the old Árpád family. However these news barely registers in Hemming's mind as he is way to devoted to his research in order to for sure know what is out there.

The old Fylkir exploited his power quite well, especially when it came to courting young maidens in his castle and the realm. While the old commander who had served Hemming's father were absorbed by desires of the flesh the King was determined to find answers to what exists beyond their knowledge in Yggdrasil. It is a long trip to the Arabian peninsula but he got what he searched for.

However after acquiring the fabled book strange occurrences started to happen to Hemming in the observatory. With his paranoia and lack of rest he becomes stressed as his work has a toll on his mind. The widow of Hemming's Uncle find the King collapsed one night and forces him to rest and relax. But it doesn't last long until he continues to study the scriptures. Luckily though he is not driven mad by the secrets he book contains.

His devotion to studying the stars have learned him many new hings he wouldn't have considered and he feel somewhat trapped in this backwards world where the warrior holds the praise of the gods and society. The old Fylkir dies of old age and a new one is elected who immedietly goes to war for Jylland, a very short war which ends in defeat for the Fylkariate.

Hemming finalizes his hypothesis drawing conclusions from the old sagas of the gods war between the Æsir and the Vanir as basis for there existing more gods than the ones we know and he could even find similarities between the Arabic book's "The Old ones" and he asks himself the question what existed before the gods we know today? Its very clear the gods man worship protect Midgard from beings like Hrímthursar and it is not impossible that in the depths of the ancient Niflheim and Muspelheim or maybe even beyond those realms that there exists an ancient power equal to our gods.

Prince Valentin asks to join the Order to defend their realm from the Aztec invaders and fight on the walls of Athlone, the King gives his brother his blessing. The old western states of Europe has almost disappeared from the map altogether.

However the safety of the Scanian Kingdom make it so the economy can flourish. Another old Fylkir dies, only a few years after the previous one dies and as such a much younger one is elected who has even served in the Varangian Guard.

The heir and first son of Hemming come of age and he proves himself to be the opposite of his father and have taken in to the warrior culture of Skåne. However the internal strife of Skåne continues with as usual the Fylkir being the main agitator against the crown claiming Hemming to be a coward and disgrace to have been crowned king. So the King starts to plot to make himself become the next Fylkir...

... and the scheme is a success and the Allthing without knowing of his deed elect him as leader of the Fylkariate.

In the year 1282 more news travel across the ocean and tales tell of more great nations to the north of the Nahua empire opposing their rule.

However even if war rages upon Europe and America the Scandinavian people live in peace for several years with their trade and prosperity increasing, luring a lot of Christians to move to Skåne and make their living under their King and Fylkir. Not even the news of a brave man in employ of the Knights Hospatilier planning to invade the Kingdom makes anyone worry and he is swept away like a small fly when he finally arrives and Hemming takes 700 coins of gold from this Knight as repayment for the ruckus he made.. A crusade is declared to retake England but it doesn't concern the Norse people.

With peace looking like it will last for all time as long as Hemming II ruled the Kingdom his son decides to travel to Miklagård and enlist as part of the Varangian Guard. The same year, 1288, the first grandchild of Hemming is born to Prince Jørgen and Hafrid and the boy is named after him.

Even though Hemming seemed "weak" and "incompetent" as King of Skåne and Fylkir of the Norse faith, he did make amazing leaps in the economy of the realm, giving the people of the cities time to breath and not constantly send of their sons and daughters to die on the battlefield.

Whatever the vassals of Hemming said he was not an idle King but he mostly engaged in schemes in the court of the Kingdom and the Fylkariate and he pushed with poison and daggers his own son into a position that he shall become the next Fylkir.

With the news of the Crusade failing the Holy Roman Empire collapses into civil war as the Princes of the Empire demanding that the Kaiser take responsibility for the failure and fall of the Catholic faiths strength. The Salians having lost support of heir vassals are unable to defend The Crusader State of Jersualem which looses a significant part to one of he Fatamid spliner states.

The Jimena governor of Tunis in he Aragonese colonies of Norh Africa manages to through domestic support usurp the Kingdom of France putting the Argonese royal family on he French throne. Also with he fall of the catholic faith, he Orthodox faith has started to replace it in the Easern lands, even reaching Finland.

Prince Hjalmar returns from Greece as a broken man but he will not let him be defeated and asks to join the Jomsvikings which Hemming reluctantly agrees to.

At the dawn of the 1300 the civil war of the Holy Roman Empire is still on going but the Kaiser has decided to abandon the Catholic faith and going with a new doctrine which now also drags in the Pope into he civil war.

But with the dawn of the new century, King Hemming has become old and with weak health he is hit with the Great Pox and shortly thereafter dies.

I can only imagine what future scholars would think of the stories of him in that timeline.

I actually secretly want more Kings like him, to shift the culture away from a "warrior caste" as it is right now and also because I made huge leaps in improving the realm. I think I can field like 20 000-25 000 troops now and has the highest tech in the entire world and I make more money than the Kaiser even. All other Kings have been great because of their conquests, unfortunately King Hemming II "the Strange" of the house Vogelius will be forgotten as the weak coward who allied our enemies, when what he actually did was create a platform to forge Empires in the coming hundreds of years...

Tanks are kinda wasted on invading the USSR

With he inauguration of King Jørgen II, the Royal Armies of Skåne was forced into the conflict between King Kálmán of Denmark and the Jarl of Trøndelag. The King upon his ascension also already have an impressive amount of potential heirs and the court is not even sure if they know of all of them.

A small scouting force which in Fylkir Jørgem participates skirmishes with another smaller force but within the mist of the battle our King is wounded.

However he war is already lost even if the Trøndish Jarl won't admit it. The King is new on the throne and with his escapades with the young women of the various nobles in Skåne haven't made him popular and as such he can't draw support from the realm to defeat the Catholic soldiers.

News spread across Europe of the tales of a man named Marco Polo, a Venecian merchant who has returned from Europe having been as far as the distant land of Cathay.

A stand is done in the land of Stettin against the Danish-Teuton forces... but it ends in a huge disaster. The Danish don't let the Scanish rest and chase down the disorganized army outside of Anklam.

However as the war is full ablaze the Finish noblemen have plotted and now heir armies stand ready to try and force their law upon the Crown. The Vogelius are not capable at this point to fight them and the Danish war, however the Vogelius are the rulers of this land and Jørgen will not put his ancestors to shame. To war it is!

The first battle happens on the east coast of Sweden, engaging the troops of Bornholm that the Korhonen family have engaged. They are quickly isolated so that they can't reinforce their northern demesnes. Bornholm being within the Skåne's coreland is much richer and more populous and as such eliminating them quickly proves vital. The Northern reserve army moves in to cut off the Finish forces from arriving to the main battlefield.

The main force of the Central Swedes and the remaining Finns outside of the City Dalby in Skåne. Its a close battle. At the same time the Finns are stopped outside Uppsala.

The battle in the north is easily won with almost the entire Finish army killed. However in the south the right flank of the Scanian army is defeated and is not looking good for them. It does not take long before the decision is made to withdraw from the battle and wait to be reinforced from the northern forces.

However the loss of troops is no the only loss they ge that day. The Fylkir himself is even captured by the enemy forces. But by bribery and promise of wealth Jørgen manages to bribe the Finish instigators to let him go instead of use his life to pressure the Royal court into submission.

The Trønds are still fighting the Danes and it looks somewhat good for the moment. A big push is done in Halland to eliminate the last Finns.

With this battle the victory and stability of the Kingdom is ensured

But bad news come from the war in the West and the Jarlof the Norwegian lands have lost. One of the weaknesses of Jørgen 'the Lecher' is that he is way too kind to his subjects and after the civil war he accepts an offer of White Peace with the rebels. However now that the King can finally rest his old wound can heal.

The Aztec Colonial Governor does not rest however and commands his hordes to land on the mainland of France and fight the mighty forces of the Kaiser. With the vast armies of the Nahua gods on the other side of the Channel our King decides to break the bond between his family and theirs forged by his dad and declares a Great War for all Æsir worshipping men and women to join the ranks of the Fylkariates most Holy Armies and reclaim the land of the von Marienburg family, the descendants of Milzas. The Allhing have been screaming for the last couple of years on something has to be done, the injustice must be done and now a war has been started to create the Milsarikí in he Emerald Isle, a Norse Kingdom free from oppression of the Nahua overlords.

A scouting force from the Jarl of Bergslagen arrives early in Ulster, the heart of the Aztec Colony. Meanwhile a force is assembled at the capital of Skåne, the largest one the Kingdom have ever managed to muster. Thousands upon thousands of young men sign up to do their duty for Odin, to die in battle against the Nahua invaders and return the true faith to their brethren old home. The logistics to transport all the soldiers to the front line are immense and so are the cost of it as well, but it has to be done. The royal army lands next to the scouting force of Bergslagen.

During the invasion, Prince Hemming becomes a grown man and he is eager to take part and lead the main forces of Skåne to victory. Meanwhile at home the Allthing starts to discuss who is to be given the right of ruling Milsarikí and to be the first Norse king beside Skåne. The first they look at is Thegn of Helsingborg. He is however a direct descendant of the same Chief of Desmond that betrayed the Kingdom. Even wearing his name, Ulitis, as such it would be too shameful to give him a crown. So they start to discuss a compromise.

The Kaiserreich tries its own invasion of the Isles to try and force the Nahua commanders hand. The invasion progresses slowly but without problems, there isn't enough willing warriors to fight for the Aztec Colony as most of the population in Ireland are tired from the exploitation of their crops and how most of the food was transported back to the Imperial City of Tenochtitlan. Our King though during the march is captivated by one of the noble women of Nahua decent, her beauty and strength is something he has never seen before and he takes her as a concubine.

The last pocket of resistance is engaged in the old Capital of the Von Marienburg family fittingly. But they are barely a match for the full army, not even a detachment. After that the Nahua Governor is forced to surrender to the might of Skåne.

As the land of Ireland falls under the hand of King Jørgen II the Allthing of the Fylkariate is busy for several months discussing dynastic lines racing back to the legendary saviors of the Norse faith, the first Fylkir Gnupa and his Commander Milzas. They are all however in agreement that the one to be crowned King of Milsarikí shall be a descendant of the Dyrlingur that ruled the front line of the Norse faith in Ireland 150 years ago. Looking at the last holder of he Jarldom of Lymrek was Lennart von Marienburg who actually has a grandson well and live, Erik of Vogelius who even participated in the Holy War to retake his grandfathers land. However his father was a family member of the Sjælland branch of the Vogelius family which poses a problem. When the Royal court presents him as a candiate the Allthing explodes in fury, they refuse to let the Vogelius have such a strong influence in another Kingdom and soil the memory of the Von Marienburg family who have built up southern Ireland.

The closest male inheritor of Lennart is his brother Uffe but he is on deaths door and have no children of his own to continue the Von Marienburg family. The younger brother Grim has a single daughter but his grandchildren are part of other family lines. The Stenkilling family is pushing quite hard for Grim to be given the crown which is expected.

So the council looks for a direct male descendant from the founder of the dynasty, Milzas. They find Vizgirdas von Marienburg, a commander at the Lithuanian court. He and his side of the family have turned to the Orthodox faith and refuses to return to the old land.

So a compromise is done, where Erik is forced to marry Kirsten of Helsingborg, she's the third daughter of Thegn Ulitis of Helsingborg. The children they bear shall be of the Von Marienburg family and this is a solution the council agrees on. First he is made Jarl of Lymrek to get used to ruling and to have children to prove he and his wife are fertile to continue the line before they are given the Kingdom. The Von Marienburg family are given back heir old southern land including Connacht while the rest of the land is distributed to the lower nobility families, af Bjærtrå and af Markaryd.

The Aztec governor is having troubles with the Kaiserliche armies and tries to ask he Scanians for help, King Jørgen laughs at the messenger and tells him to leave his Kingdom immediately. With the reconquest of the old Norse lands in Ireland a enormous wave of immigrants come to rebuild everything that was lost making the faith dominant in the capital county of Ireland, Lymrek. A daughter is born to the King with his Nahua concubine.

Investments are done into improving the constructions of castles, to allow Skåne to field even more impressive armies. Eventually the crown of Milsariki is formed and its given the already converted land of Lymrek and Dublin, bu i will have to wait for the Tyrone land until the Norse faith have spread that far up. The crown is guarded in he fortress of Trelleborg waiting for its owner. For now Milsariki is in an interregnum and is governed by the King of Skåne until Erik can be crowned the First King of Milsariki.

Information gathered shows that the impressive realm of he German Kaiserreich is not as impressive as one would think, comparing to the mighty Scanian Royal Army they are no even close to he strength. Counting in also that the Scanian's are years ahead from the Germans in technological advancements and in economic growth dwarfed the Roman Empire even more.

The years pass and Erik and Kirsten get two healthy daughters to continue the line of Von Marienburg in Ireland. After the second one is born it doesn't take long until the coronation is held....

... Long Live the King! Long Live King Erik, the first of his name!

Tanks are kinda wasted on invading the USSR

When King Jørgen returns home from the coronation on Ireland he learns of the Jomsvikings Holy war to take Jylland of the Danes. He offers his sword to assist them and finally plunge the Cross Worshipers off from the last part of the ancient Viking land. The King also takes the opportunity to enact new Crown laws to ensure more power to him and his family.

The armies have to move fast o Slesvig to stop the marching Danish forces and the Pannonian Royal Army that is currently passing through Mecklenburg. The Danish army arrives are engaged by the Scanians ouside of Sønderborg but is lead by Hungarian commanders. They are completely devastated by the more experienced Veteran soldiers of the Scanian Royal Army.

But the Pannonian much larger army reinforces just in the nick of time. The Scanians are vastly outnumbered and i is not looking good until the disorganized right flank of the enemy shatters because of the incompetent commander giving the Scanians an oppertunity to put the hurt to the Catholics. However the left flank of the defenders are in a bad shape. But with the right flank free the middle flank of the Hungarians are about to collapse. Is a massacre of Danish and Pannonian warriors.

More good news follow as Jørgen's son return home, bringing foreign gold from the courts of Miklagård. With the knowledge that Prince Lennart brought home and with new forms of weapons and shields being forged by the blacksmihs in Trelleborg the army fighting in Denmark are fitted with new weaponry.

While the King is too busy with his affairs to handle the war in the south, the Jarl of Trøndelag breaks the laws of the realm and tries to revoke the land of Naumdal from the Seidsman of Mære. The Allthing is furious and the lords of the realm are protesting against this heinous act but nothing can be done for now. The war with Denmark finally ends with victory for the Jomsvikings but it is already too late to stop Jarl Grim. Shortly afterwards our King hears from the New Kingdom in the west that King Erik is invading the Welsh Petty Kings in name of Odin.

It doesn't take long until the new King has taken too much onto his shoulders and he asks his Kinsmen for aid. It also seems as if the Nahua Empire is being weakened by common sickness among the peasantry in their colonies.

The Petty Kingdom Erik invaded is inherited by the Welsh Kingdom of Arymôr on the peninsula of Brittany making more soldiers available to fight the Norse invaders.

The French join their neighbors in the defense of their demesnes in the British Isles. Going so far to even try and land five thousand men on the shores of Dyfed. The Scanians and Milish troops are there ready to face them. Its a close victory.

Eventually even the Scots join and they march their ten thousand strong army south to face the Scanian and Milish soldiers who are not prepared for such a large force to fight them.

At court while our King tries to encourage his fellow lords to provide support to the Milish war of Deheubarth a heavily scarred warrior clad in strange armor approaches the throne. The guards to stop him but he proves to be a seasoned warrior who disarms them with ease. Much has changed him and it takes a brief moment before King Jørgen recognizes his own heir. Prince Hemming has returned from his services in the Varangian Guard! A few days later an army of over twenty thousand men land on the shores of Gwent. The Scots stand no chance.

After that display of power the King of Arymôr surrender to the Milish demands and give up their claims to the Welsh Petty Kingdom.

King Erik still only has daughters as potential heirs as his first son died of Syphilis. Shortly afterwards his wife also dies of Syphilis and he remarries with a lowborn to get a child of his own family. He believes in doing so he would ge tthe entire house support but what it does is spli the house into those that want to fulfill he Fylkariate's demands on a separate Kingdom not ruled by a Vogelius and those that believe that nobody is to command the great house of Vogelius who have forged an Empire worthy of gods.

The Pope and the Kaiser waste no time, hearing of the misfortune that has been brought upon the mighty Empire of the West they declare a Crusade to reclaim England.

With the risk of splitting the Kingdom, even the family apart King Jørgen immediately starts a heinous plot to take care of Erik's wife Asta....

However King Erik's concubine bears him a son and the Allthing demands immediate action to be taken! King Jørgen arranges for the Kings beloved concubine to travel a bit further than she might have thought she planned... Then a horrible plot is started to kill the offspring....

...however the hired help don't have the stomach to finish it and the plot is reveal but at least no one knows who is responsible. But as soon as his father gets news of this he has his suspicions and hide his son away so no one can harm him.

With the economy flourishing in Trelleborg the King pays for the town around the castle to be improved so more merchants and craftsmen can move to the capital of the north. Thanks to the stable rule of the Vogelius family over Sweden the idea of a Swedish Kingdom has started to fade in people's memory and is no longer talked about a time when the Kingdom of Skåne did not rule this land.

But no man lives forever and after twenty six winters of rule Jørgen dies of old age in the castle of Trelleborg. His successor is King Hemming the Third, he is a strong and intelligent ruler who have outstanding experience from his service in he Varangian Guard. No man in his right man would dare to oppose him on the field. After Jørgen's death the Allthing discusses in Uppland who to succeed he late Fylkir and they agree that it should be the King of Milsarikí. However at the time of this decision they do not realize that King Erik has been captured by the Aztec's while he was raiding their land and as such ended up being sacrificed by having his heart cut out.... so the new Fylkir is his son Ingolf who is in hiding....

This has a destabilizing effect in all of the Norse realms and the new Jarl of Trøndelag is starting to cause havoc in the internal politics of Skåne. The attempts on the life of Ingulf continues to bring back the Crown of Dýrlingur Milzas to his family but largely without success. Meanwhile at home King Hemming takes up Hunting as a hobby.

Ulf of Trøndelag eventually comes forward after many months of unsuccessful plotting against King Hemming challenging him to Holmgang to try and show his co-conspirators that King Hemming is no invincible. Unfortunately for him he was wrong and he ends up with a horrible wound.

However news come from he West as the Catholic Crusade for England is successful and the Aztecs are forced of the island and the English crown is returned to the Godwin family who have been hiding on the Orkney island. Upon inspecting the Demesnes of the Scanish lords King Hemming see how the Bjærrå have grown immensely in Norway forming the largest Jarldom in the Kingdom. Its only a matter of time before they start to see Trøndelag as a Kingdom just as the Vogelius did with Skåne.

Meanwhile Hemming indulges into his favorite pass time of Hunting. But as he travels with his personal retinue along a road he hears of some local hunters speaking of a mystical creature no one has been able to bring down. He goes out to hunt it down, a worthy foe for him to fight.

But his chase ends with failure so Hemming returns his focus to affairs of the Kingdom. He marries his heir with one of the von Marienburg sisters in Milsariki to ensure future alliance and the plotting to kill Ingolf continue to be disappointments.

Now with a small boy who no one has ever seen being in charge of the Kingdom in he West he Catholic rulers around see it as weak and ripe for taking and the Kingdom of Skåne is forced to take action to defend their brothers of faith. It takes almost a full year to assemble men to travel across the North sea as many lords of Skåne are still angry over there being a toddler Vogelius on the throne of Milsarikí.

The Scots capture the Scanian army in the highlands of Moray. But the Scanians hold the high ground and manages to hold off the Scots quite effectively. After only one battle with the Scanian army the Scots are decimated with only scraps left.

They are left with no other option than to complete surrender and pay war reparations to the Milsarikí. With that front finished the Scanish levies march south to face the English who are already waiting for them in the county of Chester. The English have improved much more on their longbows than any opponent that the Scanians have fought as such Hemming orders his troops to steal whatever bows and crossbows they can find in nearby settlements.

The English engage the Scanian army and realizing that their heathen enemies have more archers than them they try to force a melee and inflict heavy casualties on them before the Knights of Caltrava arrive to deal the finishing blow. But they underestimate the fervor of Odin's warriors. Its too much of a blow to the English so they surrender before more young men die needlessly.

Just as his father when Hemming returns home he learns that the Jomsvikings are at war over Jylland yet again, however this time its the Danes trying to retake it from the Order. Thirsty for more war King Hemming offers his sword to Warchief Sörkver. He swiftly moves in to engage the Danes and the war is won easily with that victory.

News eventually reaches King Hemming that Erik of Milsarikí's wife upon the late King's death carried his second son and she has now fled to Iceland where she has turned to the ways of Cross-Worshipping. The implications of the possibility that there might in the future be a Catholic ruler of Milsarikí is too much for the court of Skåne and their response becomes much more direct to now solve this problem that Erik caused. First they make sure to kill off the pretender putting Eriks first daughter back in the line of succession. Next one of the brothers of Hemming is married with Åse Eriksdatter, the first daughter of Erik.. The brother is Prince Sigurd, the child of the Nahuatl concubine.

The years pass as Hemming and his court's plotting are reaching their final stages but in the mist of everything his son wants to continue the proud tradition of serving abroad and his father approves gladly. In the same year, the Pope leads an Independence League against the Kaiser in hopes of relinquishing himself from his control. Shortly after that war a new one is started as King Hemming demands of King Ingolf to relinquish the crown and pass it to Åse.

But as he is traveling with his warriors on longboas over the Norh Atlantic old wounds come back to the surface and his body eventually gives up under the stress. Long live the King! Unfourtenly the successor is his first son and the most incompetent of the bunch. The entire realm is in upheaval however they hold themselves back until the conflict with Ingolf has been resolved and Åse is crowned Queen of Milsarikí as she should have been since the beginning by her father.

the invasion of Milsarikí goes without opposition and not a single drop of blood of their own brothers are spilled as shortly enough the false King realizes he is no match to the founders of the faith and order is yet again restored! The Allthing also agrees that she inherits the responsibility of Fylkir over Ingolf. Long live Queen Åse von Marienburg! Ruler of Milsarikí, Defender of the Fylkariate, Sword of Odin!

Sorry for this one being extra long, I got kinda caught up in the game and didn't realize how much was happening/how long I played.

Fylka Åse 'the Usurper' is now rightfully queen of Milsarikí and pregnant with her second child as we enter the year of 1345. The old King Ingolf is banished to Færeyar where he is believed that he can cause no harm. In the middle of the summer, Queen Åse drunk on her power assembles the Allthing in Uppland to declare a Great Holy War for the ancient Kingdom of The Isles and Skotland. The Vogelius family being headed by the weak and craven King Jørgen the Second of his name their concerns of internal issues goes unheard by the Allthing.

Nonetheless the Vogelius pledges their support to uphold their honor and prestige within the Norse realms and they mount an army of 18 000 strong men who lands in Veisafjord. Many powerful lords in Skåne take advantage of this war, the royal armies presence in a distant land and a weak King on the throne. A faction lead by the Jarl of Trøndelag pushes for that the laws enacted by previous Kings to be removed and more power should be given to the local nobles instead. The King caves immediately.

Meanwhile the armies in Skotland are maneuvering around each other doing their best to avoid the large Scottish Army hoping to take them when they are at a disadvantage. Eventually in first of January the Scottish Commanders orders the army to march their army over the frozen sea between Strangfjord and Galloway to engage the Scanian army of 9 000. However the secret plan slip someones tongue and the Scottish realize that reinforcements of an equally large army is approaching from right around the corner and they decide to stop and wait in Strangfjord. So The Scanians transport one of their armies over the Irish Sea to Dublin to try and take the Scottish from the south where they won't expect them. The harsh winter has also started to bite in on the Scottish army and they can't supply their men with enough food.

The Scots manage to react to the approaching southern Scanian army sooner than what he Scanian commanders wanted them to and the second army in Skotland isn't close enough to join in on the battle and it looks grim for them as the Scots engage them in Oriel south of Strangfjord. Instead of fighting the enemy the Scanian commanders order a retreat back to Strangfjord where the reinforcement of 8 000 men wait for them, the Scots give chase.

Milish reinforcements are on their way to support the Scanian army but the heavy blow from the Scanian Housecarls steel prove too much for the Scottish to handle and they die by the thousands each day as engagements occur all over the countryside. But with such a difference in numbers it only amounts to a close victory and if it wasn't for the Milish reinforcements they would probably have been a slaughter of Norse troops. But with this major engagement won it looks like it will be an easy victory for the Norse in Skotland, if it wasn't for the old King in Færeyar wanting his crown back.

The Scots try to take a Milish Army of balance but the Scanians are in Argyll ready to reinforce. The Scots stand no chance. However with the revolt in Milsarikí the Great Holy war comes to a very neutral standpoint and eventually even the Kingdom of England joins the war on their fellow Catholics side. But the Milish lords have managed to mount a much larger force now so it doesn't look as bleak and the Ingolf Loyalist surrender in 1348.

The Welsh Jarldom of Deheubarth comes under siege from the English Army and an invading force of the great Queen Marchell of Arymôr. The Milish are advancing on them but they are taking heavy casualties on the way. They engage the English army and they have the number advantage.

During one of the war meetings discussing what to do next in the British Isles now that the much larger English Kingdom have joined the war effort, Prince Sigfred barges in unannounced and demands he is to be given land o govern himself but he is simply waved away by the King as he is too busy to bother with domestic issues. Soon here after he court learns that Prince Sigfred has left the realm. This also is seen as weakness from the King in the view of the other lords in the realm and it sparks a small revolt however this time the Cheiftains of Sjælland and Blekinge, long time strongholds of the most powerful branches of the Vogelius familiy, takes arms to fight and lead against the opportunists not wanting their family weakened even further. Luckily for them the Royal army has also just come back home from their tour in Skotland for reinforcements.

The rebels are taken by suprise and caught in the fields of Nerke and are crushed within mere days. Even though of this quick battle a noble distinguishes himself and make himself a name on the battlefield. He will prove himself useful later.

But for the turmoil of the mid 14th century there is not much rest for King Jørgen as his dear brother makes his threats a reality and starts his invasion of his old home to claim the Kingdom for himself. He had gathered support from many lords viewing him as a stronger candidate for the throne and that King Jørgen himself was a disappointment to the Kingdom. To try and ensure stability in the realm the family of Vogelius marries the Heir Apparent with Sigtrygg of the family Bjærtrå. That family is the family in control of the Trøndelag Jarldom and the Jarldom of Dublin, a very strong and powerful family within the Northern realms. If you don't remember they were founded by the commander known as Vilfred 'the Sword of the Allfather' who was rewarded the Jarldom as reward for his services by vote in the Allthing. With that marriage guaranteed a lot of the support from the nobles in he realm dies and so does the strength of the ambitious prince.

Most of the princes in the previous revolt are still imprisoned and they are kept chained up to make sure the realm remain stable in this troubled time and with finally putting prince Sigfred in chains it truly becomes peace for the homeland and the King can put back the effort in the Great War against the Catholics in Skotland which is looking grim, and the war with the Kingdom of Arymôr is still ongoing.

It takes some time to find fresh recruits for the Scanian army as no one wants to fight with the weak King in Skotland. But eventually a large enough force is amassed and they make landfall on the eastern coast of Skotland. The Scots have a much larger force to the south but their Northumberland has been hit hard with the sickness Typhus and they are losing men by the day to it. As news reach them that a new force from the East has arrived on their doorstep and the Milish armies are marching to join with them the Scots move quickly to intercept them and the Scanians follow suit but the Milish got no chance to evade the Scots.

The Scots sure of their victory and wanting to chase down the last of the Milish soldiers split their army which gives the Scanians an oppertunity to trap a large part of their fighting force in Strangfjord. As soon as they realize their mistake they turn around trying to save their friends. But its too late.

A lot of smaller conflicts occur all over the Skotland countryside. One of the old rebel leaders have a close relative that negotiates for his release in the midst of everything. However the war for the land of Skotland is going well for the Norse Realms.

Soon enough the Scottish Queen has no option but to surrender her home and the Vogelius families swoop in and takes control of the Kingdom for themselves bypassing the Fylkariate mandate and the Allthing alltogeher. There was an uproar within the courts of the Northern Realms stretching even as far as The Order.

If we ever form an empire, it should derive its legitimacy as a continuation of Cnut the Great's North Sea Empire.

You know North Sea Empire would look great plastered across a map.

Cnut however bent his knee to Rome and was instrumental to the persecution of our kind. The Descendants of Vogelius and their subjects shall never mimic such a wretched man.
