True story I once did a voice part for an Icelandic radio play (responding to a casting call for native English speakers to read English dialogue) and the guys in the booth kept wanting me to read this part more and more "Southern" after an initial take with a pretty neutral midwestern accent. From what I could tell from the script it was supposed to be a fairly serious drama so I only Southed it up a little at a time, but they kept demanding more. By the last take I was like affecting this crazy Foghorn Leghorn/Yossemite Sam cartoon character super-drawl. Anyway that's my post, thanks for reading.
