Car buyers (and therefore manufacturers) are cowards nowadays. White. Silver. Dark Grey. Darker Grey. Black. Dark Blue. Past that, you're lucky if you get red instead of beige, let alone something interesting like an orange, green, or whatever.

It's crazy looking back at something like the Corrado. In 1995 you could get red, white, grey, dark red, silver, dark blue pearl, metallic black, black, burgundy pearl, MOTHERFUCKING ICEGREY VIOLET, pearl orange, aqua blue, purple, green/blue pearl, blue and green.

Bass-boat flake grey with porno-red interior sounds awesome though, doesn't it?

Came to say this. Car owners are polluting our roads with depressing hues in the name of "resale value" and "I heard you have to pay more insurance on red cars." Look at a parking lot and you see parking lot colored cars. It's shameful and every new car buyer should be hit with a plank for their desire to be so incredibly boring.

Also, all hail the Best Worst Color of all time:

The original press shots of the new M4 were with some new hue of Phoenix Yellow - how did they forget how poorly received it was on the E46? Top Gear flat out said it was awful on their show.

Still better than silver/gray though.
