Am I the only one who's watching this and wishing they'd use all of this amazing cinematography and musical taste and good actors to do something not horribly depressing?

But seriously, I don't think this series needs its ultraviolence. Or even necessarily benefits from it. They could keep the horror much more sublet, and probably make it work.
