What would you like them to do?

Biggest change would be to remove descents or neutralise them. Who wants that?

In general: put rider safety first, commerce second. So some ideas:

Get rid of feed zones, riders have pockets they can use.
Mandatory clear windows on team cars so riders trailing behind can see through them.
Neutralise dangerous descents.
Use headphones for safety messages instead of team tactics
Reduce the number of motards.
Rider cycling license with points. For example that team Skyneos oval office that destroyed Dumoulins season in the giro gets a point for swirling into the peleton while looking over his shoulder (he can't drive straight while looking behind apparently). 3 points you're out for a while.
Get neutral safety officers in grand tours that check the route.

I don't think you realize how many calories riders ingest during a GT stage even if they can only metabolize ~60-70g of carbs per hour.

All descents are dangerous. All riding is dangerous. May as well not race.

Fiona Kolbinger just utterly murdered the transcontinental race. Her Strava is nuts, she was still picking up QoMs on the 9th solid day of riding.

This idea was first proposed by Nikki Terpstra, I think he knows what he's doing.

I'm watching the start of the German broadcast of today's TdP stage and the commentators still didn't know anything more than the rumors that were already circulating yesterday evening

This whole thing is really tripping me up

Adam Hansen proposed it too. That doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. Pro cyclists push back on the dumbest things like the adoption of disc brakes. Contador also called for power meters to be banned.

There are many ways to make feed zones safer without getting rid of them. You can come off a special lane for people grabbing musettes. You can enforce a speed limit through that zone only. Use your creativity a bit.
