Yup, Sky look like a bundle of poo poo compared to the last two years, especially. Losing Kreuziger is a huge blow to Bertie, though - who else has he got to support him in the high mountains now?

Contador never has teammates when the poo poo goes down on the big climbs.

Fabs strategy: Take a flyer and Cav will crash everyone out.

Almost worked.

Withnail

Um Sagan said he didn't attack Nibali at the finish because they are friends? wtf

Also, Ligget continually trying to blame Cancellara for the Cavendish crash.

How would that work exactly? Did they have to go around him or something?

He threw the 'pure sprinters' into a 'frenzy', thus causing cav to try to force himself into a gap that wasn't there.

Going to spectate a pro road race should be about partying with your friends and generally having fun being part of the scene. Watching a blur of lycra for 2 seconds really isn't that exciting.

Does everyone's time start at the same moment or when they cross the start line? Meaning that someone could have a better time but not cross the finish first? It seems that all times start at the same moment since the moment at the finish line is so critical.

There is no 'start line'. They do a neutral roll out and once everyone is rolling, the race director waves a flag and they all start racing.

There is a natural tendency to take another step out so you can see around the person next to you.

Also, they are probably drunk.

If they would just shut voeckler down maybe we could see a little racing.

For the record, I don't think any of Froome's crashes were his fault.

I try to like TeeJay, but having 20+ days of racing decided by an hour or so of w/kg is not that exciting to watch. I wish they had more stuff like today. If 30 people had DNFed I might think different. But there was only one.

Oh good to know that Froome was just faking an injury so he didn't have to ride the tour de france or whatever.

Just watched the last 30k. Saxo sure stepped on the gas right after the TJ crash. He's also lucky he had Cancellara because it looked like the rest of BMC couldn't even keep up with the team cars.

Cancellara probably would have won if he would had worn a skinsuit and aero helmet like Martin. But he's all like gently caress that poo poo. Also the three bottles of Merlot last night didn't help.

gently caress Specialized and gently caress Contador, but on the replay you can clearly see Roche waiting for the team car with Contador's crashed bike (not Roche's McClaren) which pretty obviously does not have a broken frame.

Withnail

I've done worse on a cycling show when I rolled a tire at 50mph. If you think about it, it's way better to expend the friction needed to stop on a leather cycling shoe than lycra/skin.

Also multiple other riders reported that Saxo was taking risks trying to move up to the front when Contador crashed, which sounds the most likely of any scenario.
