Nothing better than some Phillies/Marlins baseball to wash down that rough loss.

Maybe a Cubs victory will help salvage this sports day. :unsmith:

Oh wait, it's Edwin Jackson pitching. :smith:

Got tickets to a Cubs game when I was in Chicago and was super excited and then I saw it was a Jackson day and it turned out to be really loving cold in late June. Didn't even get to see Jumbo Diaz.

I've seen games go perfect for 12 innings all for naught. I've seen no-hitters pitched on illicit drugs. Homer streaks lasting eight games and 20 run losses. I've seen pennants won and seasons collapse. All these memories will be lost in time. Like tears in the rain.

Time to die.
Walk in the door to see an amazing out by Pedro and Neil.

Of course since it's a Locke start it means absolutely no run support.

I am really excited about how Zunino (if we can only get that batting average up), James Jones, Seager, and Michael Saunders are developing.

And as I say it, James Jones almost rolls his ankle on that loving ridiculous hill. I can't believe that hill is a real thing.

Aside from the 0 in the runs column that was maybe the most Rick Porcello game ever pitched.
