^^ I ended up making a mix of v1 and v2. v1 Famous had better lyrics but v2 Father Stretch My Hands had better production. The album title went So Help Me God->SWISH->Waves->TLOP First one was probably the best.

A good memory I have about TLOP: I used to work for a guy called Kevin Godley, who was in an English rock band from the 70s called 10cc. He went on to become a successful music video director. Anyway, I worked as his editor for a year or so and one day we were waiting for footage to come in and he asked me if I’d heard the new Kanye West album, The Life of Pablo. I told him it was really good so he got me to put it on the speakers in the edit room and we just sat there and listened to the whole thing back to back a few times. Kevin loved it, he thought it was so cool how the album sounded like a load of snippets. He was really into the production and vocal effects as well. A great memory!

TLOP was good and definitely the last good kanye solo album, but you can see the writing on the wall with some of the writing on it (bleached rear end in a top hat line continues to live in infamy). Saint Pablo was added on like the third or fourth version of the album and it’s one of my favorite songs off it which is insane. Ye and Jesus Is King are just so loving terrible. And honestly the Nas album be produced is also loving rear end goddamn I forgot about that.

I enjoyed Jesus is King a lot and felt it was alot more consistent than Ye but they're both a far cry from even the scatterbrained and wonderful Life of Pablo
