I could barely get into it because the dropoff in quality/charisma/whatever/everything for Royce and Em compared to their primes when they were actually supposed to do a Bad Meets Evil album is so depressing that it's too much.
Or maybe I'm just not 14 anymore. Either way, gently caress it.

I know Em back pedaled hard on it but Relapse was my favourite of his albums since his comeback. I still like 3am even if maybe he's trying was trying a little too hard to recapture what used to make him great. poo poo at least he was trying to bring that old feeling back.

Nah it was a good album I thought.

I'm sorry but it's ok to think that Eminem doesn't make 10/10 albums anymore or that his work isn't as great as it used to be, but the idea that he is trash has to be one of the worst opinions I've ever heard. The person with that particular opinion got banned anyway so it's pretty moot but Em can DEFINITELY still spit. Evil Twin on his last album was an amazing display and his verse on Detroit VS Everybody was one of the best of all of last year. He hops in now and again to drop some gem verses....he said himself he's more of a producer than rapper these days anyway.

His Cyphers are amazing too! Here's the last one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM7sn4fv5HQ

I can't listen to more than three eminem songs in a row before I get sick of his delivery, doesn't matter what era or song. Individually some of his songs are amazing, but I cannot get through an entire album of his. I have never listened to more than 2 songs from either recovery or mmlp2 because they were very bad. Relapse has a couple good songs on it

this is actually true of a lot of eminem's poo poo, but this does not apply to at least one track of every album he's ever released (have not listened to any of his last album)

saying eminem is the worst anythiing on anything is probably hyperbole and if it isn't then chances are whatever it is is really good

No, no, I'll admit I liked Relapse as well, goofy accents and trying too hard to recapture old vibes aside, but that may also be because Recovery and MMLP2 are so imo
The thing is I know plenty of people who take Recovery over it, which is baffling for me, at least you might catch me listening to Deja Vu once in a blue moon but there's no way I'm listening to...I can't even remember song names for comparison and I'm not googling..."Love the Way You Lie"? "Kim pt. 2"? That song with Pink? I don't know.

Saying a musician is "technically" skilled is kind of a backhanded compliment. Outside of rap, if youre technically skilled you could make money playing as a session musician or something. As a rapper, being technically good at it is kind of useless because if you dont have anything to say nobody cares how well you said it

Kool AD is pretty solid all around. My favorite of his is definitely this tape he did with Kassa Overall: https://koolandkass.bandcamp.com/album/coke-boys-5

Plus he puts on the best live show of any rapper I've ever seen. He's hype as gently caress and really knows how to work a crowd. Saw him with Das Racist and opening for Run the Jewels on their first tour and he just killed it both times.

Grimey Drawer

It's not a contest which is a "better" album. TPAB is like at least twice as good, and maybe three times as good. Barter 6 may be more easy to listen to, and I know which I'd prefer to listen to if I'm going out or w/e. But it's not "better". Tbh on first listen Future's last tape was better than Barter 6 (but I'll have to let it vibe a bit more, took awhile for rich gang to click)
