I dig this song a lot, including the Clams beat, but drat Ferg's flow sounds like Kid Cudi

New Wu-Tang album stream. I...kinda like it? It's very soul-heavy though, and doesn't sound dark/rugged like what you might be used to from the Wu.

KRIT Wuz Here was a great album. Dude had a early/mid 2000's style mismanaged career though.

TBH I think he didn't help himself with his follow up albums since his style changed quite a bit imo but yeah his production works well. Although he's kinda sample heavy so it makes it more expensive for actual albums.

I liked it a lot. It had a touch more "futuristic" production while still retaining that Southern UGK-ish flavor. It's a really good album. I think it's a subtle but distinct evolution from his general sound, while still retaining that KRIT style. It's not groundbreaking, but I think that's a lovely way to criticize an album. It's basically saying "if it isn't something I've never seen before, it isn't good".

Kreation, Life, Cadallactica, Mind Control, Mo Better Cool, Satyrdays = Celebration, and Mt Olympus are all great tracks. And there's not really a dog on the entire album.

My main complaint is that the mixing on the album version of Mt Olympus seems different than the youtube leak I heard. And I prefer the youtube leak.

Its a good album but its a lot more laid back sounding then I thought it was going to be. The reworking of Mt. Olympus works for the flow of the album but if you heard the original version you know why its not nearly as good.

Tbh the album makes for good and easy listening but I wanted more of the original Mt. Olympus swag. Its worth owning though.

The new The Neighbourhood mixtape "#000000 & #FFFFFF" is pretty good. I hadn't ever listened to them before, but they're usually more of a subpar rap-rock band? This mixtape has a lot more chill/experimental vibes than anything so I guess it's different than their usual stuff. It seems like most of their usual fans don't like this either.

The track with features like French Montana, YG, Danny Brown and G-Eazy are probably the best and most notable ones, but the whole thing flows pretty well together.

i wasnt sure about the drops at first but nah they work for me  (helps that theyre some of the most iconic ones, at least from what ive heard so far)

edit: god danny brown can just run any beat

edit 2: also, i just made it thru the ferg tape first time. not terribly impressed... it is pretty all over the map, even within the same songs and as a result I couldn't make it through a lot of them. like many could have lost at least 30 seconds and I would've appreciated it. plus they just feel sooo volatile for some reason I couldn't put my finger on. first time listens can be misleading though.
