So is this actually bad, or is it people here just forgetting that Drake is also a singer and expect him to always be rapping? Can't listen to it right now but I'm a fan of Drake's Singing Voice

E: reading back it was only Dexo talking badly lol. Can't wait to listen tomorrow

Haven't listened to it yet but I think it's how interesting how Drake forces extreme negative opinions out of people if they don't like him. Most people here didn't just not like it, they "loving hated it gently caress Drake" and it's like ok lol it's not that big a deal though.

I never said I didn't understand it, it's just entertaining to watch people get ruffled over a Drake Album the same way that yes people who don't like call of duty would get mad over a call of duty game. Except it's not call of duty, it's drake.

They were a sketch group I guess a long time ago that did sketches with a bunch of rappers like Max B and Cam'ron. I only know them because of their podcast A Waste of Time. They interview people in the rap community and get a lot of good guests, https://soundcloud.com/awasteoftime.

The other night I was listening to the radio late (when the night dj's come on and play stuff that's not usually played). The DJ played a track that had Snoop Dogg in it and another rapper. The other rapper, whose voice I know and have heard before but can't place him, kept going on about how good he was going to be and Snoop kept saying things like "yeah but can you do this" "you can do better" "alright that was a little good." Anyone know the song? I can't find it. It's not on the cool aid album.

I assume you mean this Lil Dicky song

I can't tell if I just don't like Chance, or the couple songs I've heard of his aren't a good example of his music. The few songs I've heard are this weird bouncy talk-singing and I don't understand why everyone absolutely loves him to death. Am I in the wrong here? Or can people link to songs that will change my mind.

I think there's something wrong with me. I don't follow rap music much anymore, but I listen to Uzi/Yachty/21/Smokepurpp/etc. I'd heard Carti's name before but never listened to him before these songs. I don't see why people like him, just based off these two songs. Can someone write a detailed post on why I'm wrong? I understand that the beat is a big part of this music, and I have decent headphones, but I'm not hearing the hype at all.
