Mostly nice stuff, but he's got some debunked stuff like wrapping banana stems in plastic wrap in there too.

Do you have a reference for this? Anecdotally, I wrap the tip of the bunch of bananas with plastic wrap when I get home from the supermarket and they absolutely last longer than if I don't.

Here’s a food scientist testing it out, and explaining how the theory behind it doesn’t hold up.

Without a control and a large sample size and repeatable results I'll go ahead and treat this anecdote like an, er, anecdote.

The whole video is worth watching, in fact all of the series and the whole channel is, but the banana preservation starts around 14.30.

There's certainly a wide range there from "create a bespoke indoor cubby house for your kids" to "put some fruit in a bag and you'll have fruit in a bag".

Aw man this reminded me that my grandmother used to make the little cabin house thing for me growing up. She stitched together a few herself and they were meant to be draped over a card table. Thanks for that memory :3:

This isn't that far-fetched. I worked for an auto auction years ago and we had back the cars into the spots with driver's side tires on the line. Made for even spacing. But this was a rule that everyone followed, it would never work in real life.

I had some Calpico the other day and it's good. It doesn't have the sour milk flavor of something like kefir, more of a grapefruit taste like Fresca or Pocari Sweat.
