In highschool I set my desktop to a bunch of sliding Lolcats using my javascript skills and active desktop. It used up 50% cpu all the time, hehe.

quality and presentation-wise this doc is pretty good but the content and explaining what fractals are and what not, not always so good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmxJ1KDR_s0 anyway gives ok insight into why fractals are good for science. i think there's a lot to be discovered still
