there are no new mechanics. puzzles are mostly on par with the red puzzles from the original the stars require a LOT of outside-the-box thinking, but you only need about 10 of the 18 new stars to unlock everything definitely worth it if you liked the main game e: come to think of it, it actually REMOVED the platform mechanic. Nothing of value was lost
