What was wrong with the steering that the box needed to be replaced? The only time I've heard of those going wrong is on ex-livery Town Cars with 500,000-750,000 miles on them.

Nicest steering I ever experienced was in a Cadillac DTS, when that was the performance package on the DeVille. No effort to turn the wheel but I had plenty of feel for the road. No idea how Cadillac managed that, but it was awesome. There's no arguing taste, I guess, though.
