How Rude posted:I liked Earthbound's lighthearted feel more thank Mother 3's constant making GBS threads on the protagonist. Part of the reason I love Earthbound so much is that it is mostly upbeat and hopeful, while Mother 3 will just be a huge soppy fest from beginning to end and it doesn't ever seem to get better. This is the reason Doug Dinsdale doesn't like Mother 3 that much; it piles on the sadness so much that it's pretty offputting to the people who loved Earthbound for it's upbeat tone.
