MLB Problem: There are 4-5 months a year when it's hard to watch baseball Fix: Move independent league teams to South Florida and Southern California. Play during the winter. Alternatively, MLB Network needs to pick up Winter League baseball in Latin America.\ AFL (Australian Rules Football) Problem: None of my friends care about this awesome sport Fix: Move to regions of Australia where people care about it? tadashi fucked around with this message at 16:14 on Aug 4, 2014 |

Rugby union Problem: No coherent global season Solution: Not the silver bullet, but shift the June internationals to July and reduce the amount of domestic fixtures in the Northern Hemisphere club scene, particularly in Europe. De-clutter the Super Rugby fixtures, and establish a clear, coherent conference system with equal across-the-board representation of South African, Kiwi and Aussie teams. Re-establish the Pampas team from the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup competitions and include them in the Super Rugby competition and perhaps introduce invitational Tier-2 league sides to allow for participation by Georgian, Russian, Romanian, Japanese and Uruguayan players hosted by one of the three "home" nations. Separate them into 3 conferences of equal teams with 10~12 teams a piece, top 2 sides from each conference go through to the quarterfinals, with the remaining 2 spots fought out by the 3rd and 4th placed teams in a repechage competition. Problem: Southern Hemisphere teams, namely New Zealand, Australia and South Africa, have a lopsided winning record against their Northern Hemisphere opponents and the gap appears to be widening. Solution: Point and laugh at the Northern losers.
