Every dress from now on its going to be like fringed the gently caress out.

I hate watch this show with the guys I live with and we try to guess what the judges are going to like. We are wrong every single time. Such horrible clothes are being praised and it just doesn't make any sense. Tin Gunn is the only redeeming feature.

Tim is soooo burned out too. I saw an interview with him a while back where he said he's basically only staying as long as Heidi stays. He's loyal to her because she made him a star, but the minute she's out he's gone. Can't wait for zombie PR with Jessica Simpson and Joe Zee.

That's really sad to hear too. Tim was always one of the main reasons I watch this show.

Yeah, he's a delight, but I think being muzzled by the producers a few years back is really wearing on him. He used to have this great video blog where he reacted to the judging on each episode and got candid when he disagreed with them, but then there was one installment where he broke down why he thought a challenge was badly-designed. I was actually streaming it on my phone while I rode a train, and by the time I got home the video had been pulled and we never heard Tim's honest thoughts on the show ever again.

Honestly the episode Jessica was on (or the one I remember anyway, I think it was a finale) she made a fuckload more sense than any of the other judges.

I have no memory of that but I'm not surprised. Her fashion line's great and I hear she's very involved with it.

I want to say it was the year Gretchen beat Mondo and she was the voice of reason telling the other judges how retarded they were being, which really pissed Kors off to no end.

Yup. My wife and I just re-watched that season over the last few weeks; Jessica did Fashion Week with them. She was actually surprisingly good, but still liked the same skimpy dresses Heidi liked. Can't lose that aspect of PR.

Speaking of that season, they spent a lot of time talking about the hair/makeup/styling/accessories that the designers chose. When's the last time that really mattered?

1:10-3:05: Harper has no recollection of this time. Aliens?
Sometimes the designers make it so that the styling detracts from the look and it's hilarious when that happens

They started to do that more when they got bigger makeup/hair product sponsors. It's really dumb though because the "accessories wall" is always garbage and the makeup designs are clearly more about showing off as much product as possible than actually looking good or fashionable or interesting. Actual runway makeup is very frequently very nude and understated, but now that Mary Kay's running the show it's all giant swaths of cheap powdery eyeshadow.

Yeah, 24 hours for a red carpet look… you get what you get.

I wish they'd trust that the design process is interesting in itself. If the cast specifically looking for smart, articulate people and gave them time to explain their influences and ideas in detail, gave a good amount of time to the design phase and allowed them to spend real time on fabrication, I'd be so much more interested than I am in people crying while skyping their moms.

I've always wanted to see a PR type show that was like 6 designers and no eliminations. Follow everyone as they put together their fashion week show, with the weekly challenges affording some benefit for the eventual collection - higher budget, or access to certain materials/tools, etc.

Yeah, the original green was terrible. That Jessica rabbit dress was awful but the guy who made the other red dress, well he needed to know more then just how to make cocktail dresses for this show.

Oh and Sandhya remains the worst, but her Machiavellian streak has intrigued if not confounded me.

Sandhya is being quite crafty in the way she operates, and I almost like her for it. Almost.

I really believe that Korina should have gone home as well. Both of her dresses were a mess and that quilted paneling in the back was all kinds of wrong. And I'm not here for Amanda being Gretchen II. Her hippy poo poo annoys me to no end.

I don't get why you'd even audition for PR if you're going to be a huge crybaby about an eveningwear challenge. That's half the work every season. Has she never seen the show?

I think if Kini's had been in a bolder color he would have won it. I keep waiting for Char to have a break out hit (since I like her personality and talking head moments so much) but it looks like she's in trouble next week.

I had to go back and look at each individual design again. I hated Amanda's and liked Kini's more. Once again the judges have the unpopular opinion.

There really should have been a consultation at the start like when they had clients in the past. Then you would have know Heidi hates that green or this idea looks too matronly. The idea that the designers had 4 hours to try to do something completely different is just cruel.

"I don't mind wearing a short dress"
yes we know Heidi.

Sean

A great idea espycially for the time constrains. I would have liked a better ombre effect but all around great

Kini

Sexy, great silhouette. The necklace should have had a long pendant instead

Amanda

Seriously?!? This is bad. Sooooooooooo bad

The Middle
Fade

I liked this one! Visually interesting, maybe too casual.

Sandhya

She finally makes something good! The blue flecks over the pale yellow is better than the average lace dress

Samantha

eh.

Char

Kinda nice but I see model no-no-zone!

Alexander

I see butt cheeks. This was way too stiff for a red carpet look, even if everything else had gone right

Emily

Da fuk? This is not red carpet, except at the AVNs.

Bottom
Korina

I hate everything, but make it work… in 4 hours. So unfortunate.

Out
Kristine

This dress gives the model evil, droopy, tiny boobs.

Mitchell

The top was trying for a Vivian Westwood treatment and failed. The front box pleat on the bottom is awful. Add the pinky nude hoof shoes and it is a train wreck.
