I'm not sure how I feel about all the sincerity in this thread. It's weird, like all of the layers of ironic detachment are falling away and there are people who legitimately care about things on the internet. My fragile paradigm is shifting into something new, and I'm old, so I'm scared.

To be 100% honest, we all have to be good people to some extent. It's difficult playing social games for years and still being interested in maintaining the fun for everyone involved when you're a selfish person, for example. I have recently been playing Too Much Squash, so all other sports are inferior. I got to watch Canada's #1 women's player in person yesterday and she is ... fierce.
