Welcome, one and all, to another rousing game of BattleCON! I'm your host, ActingPower. Let's see who our contestants are today. In the left corner, we have the time-traveling hero, Luc von Gott! He'll be played by GMarshal. In the right corner, we have the fugitive dryad alchemist, Lixis Ran Kanda! She'll be played by Gutter Owl. Can Lixis catch the slippery engineer, or will he run circles around her? Can Luc avoid Lixis' poisonous touch, or will he succumb to the draining power? That's all up to you. We always love spectators, so don't forget to stop by and comment on how the game's going. Give away all of your best strategies; that can't possibly go wrong! Lixis seems really strong in the mid-range, and Naturalizing and Lance are both pretty big issues for Luc. Still, a bunch of Lixis's styles are REALLY slow and this can turn fast.

Spending one token to advance. I believe that should put my total number of tokens at the start of the beat at 4. (Started with five, spent one during the ante phase, went down to 4, spent one more to advance 1, went to 3, gained one at end of beat) Going to ditch Strike.

Well, congratulations, you two. You both decided to Cancel. Give me a second while I figure out what that does. I believe it's, "Both are nullified, Special Action cards go to Discard 1."

ActingPower (via PM) posted:I just got Luc's next attack pair in, but he reminded me of a mistake I made. Apparently he had actually anted at the start of this beat, but I missed it. Does +1 Priority on his part change anything? Really should have said "yes, I'd like to change." Not because ActingPower was giving a tell there, but because anteing for priority should have indicated that you weren't going for Flash like I was suspecting.
