Game: [Mansions of Madness 2e] Old One Folks Home System: Cooperative Board Game Format: PBP (with offscreen app) Players: 4 Description: Mansions of Madness 2e is a smaller-scale version of the Arkham and Eldritch Horror games, focusing on a specific story - like investigating Innsmouth, or rooting through an old mansion trying to figure out how the bad guy is planning to open a portal to horrible creatures. It's significantly simpler to learn than the other games, with a lot of the administration handed off to an accompanying app. With that tracking monsters and events for you, it leaves room for some twists and tricks that aren't possible otherwise, and the tighter scale means things feel a bit more coherent than similar games. This is a bit of an experiment to see how well working off an app goes.

Game: The Quiet Year: Seasons Unknown II System: The Quiet Year Format: PbP Players: 3-4 per game, and as many games as there are players for Description: Our community has just driven off the Jackals and now hopes for a year of relative peace – a quiet year – but little do they know that in Winter the Frost Shepherds will arrive... This is a birds-eye view, map-making game where we guide the actions of a community that lives in a post-collapse world some time after the fall of our civilisation. Maybe they'll build something new; maybe we'll find out why the world changed. We'll play to find out. Note: This game is a minor variation of the original rules, but not one to worry about if you haven’t played before. In the original game you draw from a deck of playing cards to create random events and choices that the community faces; this version just has more cards, to boost the replayability of the game.

Game: Fall into Legend System: Apotheosis Format: PbP Players: looking for 4 total, including me, but I could go with 2-5 total Description: Stories are not immutable. Legends are not fixed in time and space. They change in the telling and re-telling, winding around obstacles and voids like the roots and branches of a tree, accommodating the changing ways of the people who tell them. This is a game about telling the dominant myth of a society, and exploring how it changes across the generations. This game is similar to Microscope, in that it’s a GMless game where you add and change details of a story, but in this case it’s a legend growing, splitting, and decaying over time rather than a record of history.

Game: Modern survival horror Zombie apocalypse hexcrawl exploration type game with a demonic invasion. System: Palladium's Dead Reign or GURPS if pressed. Format: Discord Text in PST. Synchronous or Asynchronous play. Players: Minimum three. Description: I'm thinking of running a modern survival horror Zombie apocalypse type game with a demonic invasion thrown in because Doom Eternal. The system I'm considering is Palladium (Dead Reign) because while the system is broken the high lethality nature of the survival horror hexcrawl means that broken stats really won't save you anyways. I'm considering using google maps and NYC or LA as the hexcrawl terrain. Many random tables for loot/enemies/terrain will be used. Let me know if this sounds interesting. Game: The Lost Keep of Karaz Zand System: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying, 4th Edition Format: Roll20 with voice chat, EST evenings Description: Like most people, I'm stuck at home so I'd like to learn something new. As such, I'm learning how to GM using Roll20 and learning the 4th edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying. Full disclosure, this will be my first time running a game online or playing WHFP, so expect some growing pains and technical issues. The adventure will be set in the rough, lawless lands of the Border Princes as a group of adventurers arrive at the "Free City" of Zandelver. The mayor has barricaded himself in the townmaster's hall, a group of thugs with a mysterious leader are threatening outsiders, and even a dragon has been spotted in the region. Could they all be related to a trio of dwarves searching for their long lost hold, Karaz Zand? Either way, if you play your cards right, you might end up being a Border Prince yourself!

Game: Things That Go Bond In The Night Players: 3-6 System: Night's Black Agents (GUMSHOE system) Format: asynchronous Discord text, possibly live sessions if everyone's schedules line up Description: Night's Black Agents is a modern action-horror setting, pitting secret agents against vampires and other related abominations. The players are super spies in the mould of Jason Bourne or James Bond. 'Burned' by their agency, they work off the books in the clandestine world of international spycraft. In the course of their investigations and missions, they stumble across the horrifying revelation: Vampires are not mere folk tales and Hollywood fantasy. They are real. And they are serious assholes. If you pull at the threads of the secret Vampiric conspiracy, who knows where it will lead? Big pharma? Russian mafia? Military Industrial complex? Maybe the reason you could never get poo poo done at your agency is because it was compromised all along.... The plan is to run an introductory mission to set up the player characters and get everyone used to the game and then transition into the Dracula Dossier campaign. In that campaign, Bram Stoker's Dracula 'novel' from 1897 was actually an after action report of an attempt by British intelligence to recruit Dracula as an asset that went horribly wrong. Now it's 2014 and he's back and seriously pissed off. Post in the thread link or PM me if you're interested, answering 1) What character are you interested in playing? 2) Have you any experience with the Night's Black Agents/GUMSHOE system? (No experience required) 3) Have you read the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker?
