Everything that I've heard from people that were at the hands on thing at Double or Nothing weekend is that it's very fun and accessible. In regards to multi mans being capped at 4 people, personally I find multi-man matches to be very unfun because of the AI so I'm not even bothered by no trios or 8 man matches.

bizarre that some character models looks incredibly spot on like Miro, Ricky, and Brodie while Eddie looks horrific. Some real Street Fighter V vibes where the character quality discrepancy is all over the place.

I won't need trios matches until the inevitable House of Black expansion pack but limiting it to 4 basically renders Casino Battle Royale pointless.

Maybe they can patch the bad character models along the way. That must be a thing they can do now, right?

2K has to do this constantly cause there's always at least a few people in every WWE game that look like they got stung in the face by a bunch of bees right before the facial capture session

Modders could probably do it too, on PC.

Congratulations on not getting fit in 2011!
Considering this is a "We found the n64 source code in an old PC buried under a bridge in Osaka" situation, I'm not mad that they couldn't expand it to 6 or 8-man.

Online AKI is gonna be friggin Lit, assuming it works well (no wrestling game works well online). And the modding community having access to this will likely smooth over anything missing.

Now I remember why this seemed so familiar, it's the whole premium car vs standard car in Gran Turismo 5 again.

Did 2k23 make it so all multi-man matches are no DQ or something? I don't remember this being a thing in previous games but you can't even change it now.

flashy_mcflash

I think that's been the case for years since multimans have always been no-DQ irl

Balance changes, bugfixes, sure. Replacing models with a day one patch… I’m sure it’s happened, I guess. But you rarely ship with assets THAT bad.

Adding substantial new content is a thing people have come to expect from game devs these days but it’s not something that’s actually done much outside of “games as a service” (Destiny, Fortnite, etc) or instances where the dev basically has free reign over the property and are in a position to keep working on it (No Man’s Sky, State of Decay 2, Dying Light). And in the latter case the new stuff tends to be stuff like new loot and cosmetics, not replacements or new mechanics (like multi-mans).

Besides, if post-release content addition were the plan, the smart thing would be to say so; games that release in an allegedly full version seeming to lack basic features and have janky aesthetics are received far more poorly than “early access” games which make clear up front that what you pay for at release is a work in active progress and that you can’t judge it fairly til it hits 1.0. You only make a first impression once.

In any event, if they would replace the PS2 Kingston model down the line, it begs the question of why a bad draft was shipped with the release version (assuming the version that people have snapped pics of is indeed the release version). How did you end up at release with that, when you’re clearly capable of good renders?

In fairness, the last patch for the new WWE 2K actually did outright add characters. (Mia Yim and Candice LeRae)

I’m not saying day one patch, just eventually. It’d be cool if they could do the same for updated hair/clothes/etc. I doubt Christian has a turtleneck in the game but he should!

I’ve been playing g ProMotion Wars remastered but I’m getting annoyed. I’m playing the WCW scenario from the attitude era and no matter what I do I can’t seem to fill a stadium larger than 2500 people. I have plenty of high draw people and I basically signed all the good ECW people, but I guess I have to watch for the Rock and Austin to retire?

And I had auto book on for house shows…but it doesn’t work.

I know it probably wont because this is tuned to someone else's No Mercy nostalgia not my Shut Your Mouth nostalgia but the thing that modern wrestling games are missing is starting with 5 or even infinite finishers so you can do insane spammy sprint matches while laughing with your friends. Not everything has to be this 30 minute psychology sprint sometimes i just want to give my brother 5 jackhammers and throw him off times square imo

Oh it's finally up for pre-order on PSN but it looks like it's PS5 only...isn't there supposed to be a PS4 release also? I mean, I have a PS5 but tend to spend most of my game time in a room where I just have a PS4. Is this going to be dual buy/platform?
