Destroy Ghouls, eliminate the ghoul food supply (former gangers), restrict the tribes movement, keep penal legion under guard. The ghouls are the horrific mutants that resulted from dozens of generations of the gangs throwing people down to an inescapable hell between decks. They feed on human flesh and scare the gently caress out of the dregs. Note: Tran fucked around with this message at 07:35 on Jun 15, 2015 |

Taking Charge “Limosa, you are without an Inquisitor, correct?” “Yes, Inquisitor.” “I’m naming you as my Interrogator. You know your way around and have shown yourself to be loyal.” “Thank you Inquisitor.” He paused carefully. “You are aware I am under the Doom, correct?” “Yes. Don’t screw up, and we’ll be fine.” “Yes Inquisitor. What do you need me to do?” “Where are the psykers?” “Alpha Deck. Please follow me.” You stepped onto the private Family train - your first use of it, that you could remember. As it made it’s way forward, you opened your pack, handed over gear. “These are yours, I believe.” “Thank you Inquisitor. Some of them have sentimental value.” You glanced at him side-eyed. “A xeno kid, hunh.” “A long story, Inquisitor.” “I’m sure. What’s the deal with the Magos?” “They’ve completely shut down access to the engines. We aren’t using them because of the Astropath problem, but even so.” “Did they give an explanation?” “Blanket statement. Here, I’ll show you.” Limosa pulled up his data slate, clicked a few buttons. By order of the Magos, this channel is secured and quarantined against physical/psyker/memetic/biological/chemical hazards. No exceptions. “And that’s all they’ve said?” “Yes Inquisitor. Every channel and panel related to the engines, even private messages. See for yourself.” You did so, got the same response. “Well, that’s ominous. Any sign of what scared them off? Are they inside with the problem or keeping it out?” Limosa shrugged. “See for yourself.” The Ballroom of Alpha Deck, where you had last seen the wedding of Amacita. It was full of dozens of cots, each with a psyker laid down in it. IVs were run into all their veins, keeping them deeply catatonic.” “Nightmares that bad?” “Yeah. Some of them were using their powers in their sleep.” “Eugh. That’s not good.” “Not at all.” On a whim, you messaged Amacita. No response there either. “Limosa, do you know how to use a spirit stone?” “For what purpose?” “Just to talk.” “Do you speak Eldar?” “There’s a human soul inside.” Limosa stared at you hard, then blinked. “I won’t ask.” “Best not to. So how do I use it?” “Hold it like this, picturing this image and color.” Limosa sent you a picture, some Eldar glyph. “Alrighty. Watch my back.” - Fabiyan glanced up at you when you arrived. You were on a beach on some random world, cold air running over jagged rocks. Your curiosity overcame you. “Fabiyan, where is this?” He skipped a rock along the rolling waves. “My home world. I used to visit here as a child. Ohone, are we dead?” “No. Well, kind of. It’s complicated.” He glanced at you. “It went that bad, hunh.” “Devries wasn’t there. Commissar Payn was.” “He have a bomb?” “Fusion bomb.” Fabiyan flinched. “Ouch. So where are we now?” “Umm… an eldar spirit stone.” “What?” He looked shocked at you. “I had to make some deals to get you back.” “With xeno?” “Yeah. My Family has a history.” He snorted. “Rogue Traders. What was the deal?” “I had to go back in time.” Fabiyan blinked. “How long has it been?” “A month or so, I think.” “Subjectively or objectively?” “Objective. Subjective, maybe a few more months.” “So you went back in time, and what?” “I uh… used an Eldar spirit stone to pull your soul out before the blast.” “Anyone else?” “Just me. I couldn’t save the others.” His face tightened. “Emperor protects.” “Yeah. I went a little crazy after that.” “After the time travel?” “No, after the blast.” Fabiyan stared at you. “You survived a fusion bomb at grenade range?” “Tech-priest.” “Blood of Sanguinius.” “Yeah. But I went a little crazy. Took over the ship.” “You are Lord-Sire now?” “Yeah.” “Congratulations!” He almost smiled, but you could feel the pride coming off of him. “And then I got Devries.” He clenched his fists in victory. ”Yes.” “And then I put his brain in a box and we went back in time together.” His shoulders slumped. “Ohone…” “No, its okay. I tricked him into telling me how to rescue you.” “We don’t seem rescued.” He looked around him pointedly. “Well, I wanted to talk to you first. We’re building you a new body, but we wanted to ask you what you wanted for it.” He almost smiled again. “Natural legs.” - You shook your head as you exited the stone. “Wow. That’s a thing alright.” “You seem happy.” “Yeah. Yeah.” Limosa looked at you carefully. “They can be addictive. People get lost there, seeing old sights, or asking questions of the philosophers.” “I can imagine. Thats why we need to get him out of there as soon as possible.” You nodded to yourself. “Okay. Get the troops on high alert, Kriegers and Grey Cloaks. Began a defense plan against the Tribes, the Penal Regiment, and the Dregs. Also map out an assault on the Dead Decks, I want to clean out the last of the Gangers. When the troops are ready, order them in. Just SLUDGE everything, I want no casualties. “Meanwhile, I want you to personally take one… make it two companies of Kriegers. Go to this location, it’s my old lab. Bring everything in there to the Alpha Deck, I want things to be secured there. I’m also going to the Family and Lord-Sire stores and take what I need from there. We’re going to be growing ourselves a skeleton for a Commissar.” “Yes Inquisitor. Anything else?” “Stay alive, we’re about to enter the storm.”

He was Siadwell's retinue. Lord Inquisitor Maruseva declared all such to be under orders of death except where tied to another inquisitor. And if he fucks up, its your responsibility. edit: and you have an organic Devries brain in a simulation. If you make an electronic brain that simulates Devries, thats SUPER hella heretical.

Lord Inquisitor Maruseva declared that all of Siadwell's retinue were to be put to death as heretics unless given special dispensation by an inquisitor in good standing. We just agreed to vouch for him, and take on the burden of that threat.

Let's alter the drugs flowing through DeVries' tank so that whenever he thinks of something beneficial to/for us (or for the dynasty as a whole, so he can in theory keep being useful even when we're gone), he gets an extra spike of the good poo poo, and whenever he thinks traitorous thoughts/ill about us, he doesn't even get a shock of pain, his drug feed just gets cut off for a while. Come back after a bit and see how he talks to us then.

Engines For generations, the Dead Decks had been used as an execution method. They had been closed off in some repair or another, the workers trapped inside. They had gone feral, insane, and some enterprising group of people decided that tossing people inside made for a splendid example. It continued for centuries - piss off the wrong people, and you’d be thrown into the black, the claws and teeth. In the second month of your reign, you put an end to it. First, you put all the previous owners into the hell pit they had created. Thousands of gangers, stuffed into an ecosystem that had been meant for dozens. The bloodbath was quick and immediate, and the ghouls ate as they never had. A few gangers survived, the most vicious and hungry of the bunch, and then the Krieg filled the tunnels with SLUDGE. And that was that. They would need reclamation, of course, but the ghouls would never eat another human being. In a similar manner, Limosa lead half a thousand Kriegers in Between, and his reports afterwards would make your blood run cold. But he got to the objective, your old labs, and a truck full of supplies was slowly escorted back into safety, and the Alpha Decks. Casualties were above 80%, but such was life for the Kriegers. You heard intermittent radio chatter as they fought their way out, but you could do little to help them. Limosa knew his work, and you had to trust him in that. For your own part, you made your way to the engines, the mechanical fortress of the Magos who had trained you. All routes had been blocked off with hastily installed steel, welded into place. Hastily painted signs held the markers for Quarantine in High and Low Gothic, and behind them paced murder-servitors and Skitarii. None responded to your calls or demands, even though you were one of the Magi.

The skitarii have very likely disabled their hearing and any kind of signals pickup as part of their quarantine against memetic code. Blink the lighting in morse code at them, request a report on quarantine status. They probably still have their optics enabled, so they can do their job.

Assuming it's not too late to vote: Keep the Power Armor on at all times. It takes hours to put on and even if we're in a secure location, that doesn't mean the enemy won't attack something critical (like the food supply) to force us into a compromised position. As for the Magos, try communicating in binary / by visual signals. If that fails, find a lone servitor and hack it to find out what its order are / what the situation is. Lowell, do we have any emp, haywire, or other anti-machine weapons handy?
