As an aside, you now have an exciting 1350 XP total, as well as 5 new shiny insanity points! So the thread can discuss what they want to spend 300 on, and then we can vote what class we want to enter next.

Sound constitution: Not dying is a really, really good idea. Pack hunter: Because murderbuddies Deceive: Inquisitor without deception? Really? Peer Nobility: Let's not kid ourselves, we'll need it here, A LOT. Fel Simple Advance: Ditto edit: This is 5 things I can't decide between, honestly. I'm not sure which 3 I'd pick. my dad fucked around with this message at 13:52 on Sep 29, 2014 |

What is Fel Simple? Can someone run down what these do? Decieve seems simple enough, along with Pack Hunter, Charm and Diplomacy. The Peer Nobility and Fel Simple are the confusing ones.

Peer Nobility means you are moving up in the world, and get to speak with/visit the movers and shakers, and are comfortable in that environment. Fel Simple means +10 to your fellowship skill, allowing you to be more social. edit: -checks- Peer Nobility is something you already have actually, as part of your starting package. Ill fix the list. Peer is a talent, it can't be boosted, though it does act as a pre-requisite for a similar one (Good Reputation (insert group here)) that we wont have access to for a while unless LowellDND wants to give it to us as an elite advantage.

C. I think this thing will be gone by the time the Calvary arrives. Plus, summoning the Calvary means we have to account for why. This will alert Cruentus, and if the thing is gone make us chicken little or the boy who cried wolf. Granted there actually is a wolf and the sky actually is falling. Deceive Pack Hunter Constitution

As silly as it sounds, I want to call in the cavalry because I want to take refuge in audacity. That thing will be on a lookout for us if we sneak out. If we make a big show (and even make a fool of ourselves) and say that we bumbled into this while investigating a relic forger associated with the people who tried to kill us, it might just be enough to take the heat off us. I'd rather deal with a monster that thinks we're a moron than a monster that expects a worthy adversary. e: I hope that clarifies why I picked deceive and fel+ my dad fucked around with this message at 19:56 on Sep 29, 2014 |

Wentley posted:So does Warhammer have Cthulhu-like insanity effects? Do we need to avoid reading any books we find? Yes, Insanity and physical Corruption have a long history in this game Right now you are under 20% for both. When you get to 80% or so, things get a little weird.

You can usually find telltale signs that something is very wrong, like that weird static. Edit: But of course the worst corruption is the one you invite willingly and gradually. By popular demand fucked around with this message at 21:19 on Sep 29, 2014 |

Insanity can be dealt with, corruption is kinda unambiguously bad. Rampant physical mutation, bursting into fire near holy enough people, that kind of stuff. The thing after us is probably either a daemonhost with a daemon of Slaanesh bound into it (in which case we're wait deep in poo poo unless we get inquisitorial assistance), an actual daemon somehow able to manifest itself (neck deep), or a Slaaneshi cultist with the favour of their god (merely knee deep). Or it could just be some noble's really fancy murder-servitor, but daemons are more interesting.
