Sup, Gladiator buddy? You'll need a Victory as well, if you want to keep proper formation. Having a Nebulon B wouldn't hurt either, seeing as at the time the Gladiator was flying around, the Empire still controlled the majority of its Frigate fleet..

So as a recap, we currently know that the Victory-I and Victory-II are in, conversely the Nebulon-B Escort Frigate and Support Refit are also in. Multiple options for each hull are in, although it's not known whether the CR90a or the Gladiator SD will have hull variants. From the dumb Team Covenant video you can see that the Victory-II is better than the Victory-I, and both are stronger than the Nebulons. The Gladiator-class looks to be able to pump out more damage than the Nebulon, I can't really see anything else but I would suppose that the Gladiator will be a more squadron-orientated ship compared to the better armed VSD.

Imperials will be getting TIE Fighters, Bombers, Advanced and Interceptors. Rebels get X, Y, A and B-Wings.

Everything seems right except the Gladiator. It has the same starfighter complement that the Victory has, and about half the firepower, maybe a third. What makes the Gladiator shine is its speed. Assume a fast capital ship with light firepower, moderate point defense weaponry, and an average fighter compliment.

Look, you don't need to make it that awesome. Include the superlaser, A few billboards, maybe tear up some old Starship Battles minis for added bits. It doesn't need to be perfect, as there's about ten different looks it's had.

poo poo, we have time, I'll see what I can dig up. Either I'm making it for you, or you're doing it yourself. One of the two.

Here, most of the junk on it is docked ships. Get the Rogues and Villains expansion, glue some random ships on it. What you need to do is cut out the sides as such, put billboards on, and half paint it. See the Hounds Tooth, do that, throw an Outrider and a Millennium Falcon in there, done.

You do realize this is ten times the size of the Armada mini? Also, all you need from a micromachine is a super laser, the rest is Rogues and Villains ships, and maybe a Neublon-B stuck on the side. Oh, and cut off half the guns, the Venture was forced to give up most it's armament as part of the agreement. Use the attached and docked ships, and throw in a few fighter squadrons so it's weapons stats make sense.

And Venture was forced to give up all but ten turbolaser batteries and ten ion cannon batteries, but it also was described as tracking "with all of its weapons" when it supposedly only had three working turbolasers. It's also possible they kept the tracking systems and got rid of the guns per contract as to give the appearance of a regularly armed Imperial II

In a 180 point game, or 300? If you're only getting 180 points, you need to pour a lot of those into TIEs to counterbalance the heavy load of X-blings that the rebel player (if not completely sucking) will bring. If you've got 300 points to play with, I personally think it's better to pour the points into a Vic-II because of the greater range you have to play with. Also: Dominator + Repair means you can get two bonus blue dice per round as opposed to Concentrate Fire's single bonus die. Way better.

Planning for 300. And apparently I'm half blind. I didn't notice the difference between blue and black on the cards.

I've done this over maybe 3 hours. Most of that time was watching TV and waiting for paint to dry.

Phase 1: Lighten Victory surface, paint red command markings, seal.

Phase 2: Paint on atmospheric scorching on all proper surfaces and angles

Phase 3: Go over all red markings, brightening and cleaning up an any all as needed.

Phase 4: Acquire properly scaled Imperial ships (100 meters is 15mm) from cargo haulers, and frigates to destroyers and smaller cruisers, paint as necessary and attach to stand to form a small reinforcing fleet.

Phase 5: touch up as necessary, add lighting effects, seal, base, brag.

My primer didn't take. Using Bob Ross brand gesso, it shrinks as it dries, so detail is crisp. It works great on 40k minis, just not this. I just washed the model and painted right on it. Also, I figured 3 colors wasn't enough. Redid the red and used a light grey on raised panels and did some minimal edging.

Aha! I already see a few areas where the red bled. Couldn't see those with the old Mk Is. And either brush strokes or damage from the masking tape. Can't see it without the camera. Holy crap, A lot of things to fix. Need to bring out the nuln oil and a super tiny drybrush.

Also if anyone has one, I need the old Starship Battles Immobilizer 418. It's within 10% of proper scale and goddammit, I need it on the base of this one. And I need to put custom printed decals on every ship. I'm making a by the books Heavy Attack Line with each ship designated as a member of the Line, and numbered accordingly.
