gently caress you that was the best soundtrack since Reservoir Dogs

It was just more booming orchestral this-is-our-Marvel-superhero's-branded-theme-and-we're-not-gonna-let-you-forget-it crap. It was basically indistinguishable from Spiderman, Avengers, et al

Besides, the Reservoir Dogs soundtrack didn't make it to the end of 1993 before it was eclipsed by Jurassic Park's. And then there was Pulp Fiction.

If you want a soundtrack from this year that isn't repetitive idiot garbage, peep Interstellar or Calvary.

Speaking of mass effect, I'm cheap as gently caress and only ever buy games on Steam sales and poo poo. So I missed all the bruhaha over the original mass effect 3 ending. What the gently caress was every one so upset about that they refused to even buy or play it upon hearing about it?

I bought it and played the poo poo out of it after it was all fixed up, and I thought it was pretty dope, unlike half the fuckin' internet.

Something to do with the ending being "press these 3 buttons lol red/green/blue - here is some psuedo intellectual nonsense." I never played past the first one so I really don't know.

Mostly people were asspained because they thought their decisions would loving matter in a bioware game. Like unless you're playing the Witcher games or Alpha Protocol, moral choices in games are pretty poo poo.

The way I saw it was you saw the outcome of your choices in the dialogue and visuals preceding the final fight. After that, JesusShepard goes poof in one of three ways and Bioware moves on with the franchise.

The Witcher series is a fuckin' pro play.

I was quite surprised by the second one how which person you decided to help at the start gave you a solidly different game. And the fact that there's people that you could choose to kill or not that will quite clearly make an appearance in the third.

And the third game looks loving awesome, I mean poo poo.

I was mad (mad in that I said out loud "man that ending loving blows what the gently caress") because you put in like 90+ hours into the three games over 3 years and it ends in an incredibly poo poo way. Deus Ex HR did the same thing, but at least that game only takes like 20 hours.

Mass Effect 1 is okay, 2 is pretty great (download a PC save of ME1 and watch youtubes if you want to skip 1) and 3 was still pretty good. There's a shitload of DLC for 2/3 too.

People that are really involved in the Mass Effect franchise are incredibly creepy though, Jesus christ. Who gives a poo poo if the last 10 minutes are trash when you enjoyed the first 60-75 hours or however long it takes.

Yeah, I don't give a gently caress what people have to say about the ending, those games ruled. There's games out there with a lot worse endings anyway.

Hell, when I go on terminal, next week yo, I might start up another run through 2 and 3.

Still good games. And considering that I probably payed 60 bucks for the entire series, the dollar per hour entertainment value is fantastic.

Multiplayer in 3 was pretty good, even if it was a bit samey.

I know. I meant poof in the sense that Bioware is probably moving on to new characters for ME4, and ME3 delivers that outcome. Whether he's alive or not doesn't really matter.

I think I read somewhere that 4 is gonna be set before the original 3 games anyway. First contact war maybe?

Ooooh, that's what you're talking about. Oh yeah, that was loving brilliant actually, but kind of disappeared by halfway through the movie. I was thinking of the bog-standard trumpets-and-strings theme that they hammer away at as THE STAKES GET HIGHER FOR OUR HEROES.

I figured thats what you were talking about. Yeah, really the 1st Iron Man soundtrack is super good nuevo-classical stuff, if that's your bag, though

It was also a really lovely implementation. The need to shoehorn in red & blue options for every occasion undercut a lot of otherwise neat story moments. It sucked that you needed certain amounts of paragon or renegade points to exercise certain dialogue choices; you couldn't break bad in the second half of the plot unless you'd demonstrated sufficient devotion to the renegade cause with petty crime and dickishness in the early game.

um also punching the poo poo out of that bitch reporter, which owned. gonna throw down the gauntlet here, if you even remotely like the paragon "choices" you're some kinda beta rear end bitch that would get straight railroaded into an airlock and piss yourself just before all the nitrogen in your body is liberated by low pressure if we were in the future, which will be just like mass effect obv
