Origins: oh cool there's a bunch of different spells too bad like half of them are useless poo poo. Mmm yes good thing there's like 5 elemental weapons, a billion debuffs when only like 3 are any good, and like 10 anti magic spells that will almost never get used DA2: in 3 spell slots I've got offensive and defensive anti magic, all 3 party auras from origins, and every elemental weapon, leaving me more room for cool poo poo like fisting the maker (Da2 only spell). Also the specializations are cool and not stupid anymore

Kotor 2 just fixed the ranged weapons part. Shale was a decent damage dealer and crowd controller, a good party-buffer, and a great tank who couldn't be knocked down or picked up. She's a cheat companion in a game that can already be broken in a bunch of different ways.

Shale can definitely be knocked down and she isn't very good at any of her specialisations. Her party buff mode sucks because she can't move and gets penalties to defence, so unless you pumped the lovely constitution stat specifically to make her job to be a retarded thing that can;t move and gives you crappy buffs you are gonna get killed. Your'e right about her being good at crowd control which is worthless because she is about as strong defensively as wet tissue as a wet tissue cf Alistair the Homosexual Templar. She probably rules if you play on easy tho.
