I recently binged through the entire series, and is it just me or is someone else somewhat annoyed that the writing turns into "depression porn" at the latter seasons? I mean the earlier stuff was "bad things happen because BoJack is self-centered and impulsive person" and the latter series have been "nothing works in the end and BoJack gets blamed for everything because FY that's why".

Before this new season I complained that Bojack had become "suffer porn" where everything goes to poo poo because it needs to go and everyone is miserable and assholes just to ramp up the drama. I am glad that this last season at least tries to stay out of that territory, and that Diane is no longer "a crusading rear end in a top hat just because". She actually has an agenda and reason to do her stuff this time around. Or at least until we see if they give BoJack the full Bill Cosby-treatment at the final. I hope not. EDIT: Oh man now that I thought it more this is where it is going isn't it? BoJack gets his comeuppance as a REAL jail sentence, Diane is a witness who gives the condemning speech, Princess Carolyn is a no-show at the trial, Butterscotch publicly disowns him, Todd somehow messes things up and Mr. Peanutbutter becomes the new BoJack when he succumbs to the Bojack-level depression and personal insecurity. Solice Kirsk posted:Shakespeare In Love was a comedy. 90's was such a weird time; there were no "bad guys" per say, and Russia was just chilling as one of the countries in Europe.
