mass effect 3 is kind of poo poo but the dlc with the extra missions in the citadel is amazing and makes up for it imo. worth a play to check it out, once.

i know. no one (or very few people) agree with me and i am cool with that. i just really liked what they did with it. at least it felt cohesive with a direct line of where you began to where you ended up. neither 2 nor 3 felt like anything more than a collection of random stories. also the mysterious man was boring

honestly I liked the story of ME 1 the best, ME 2's storyline was insanely bad but it had a bunch of really cool characters and overall good gameplay improvements so it's my favorite and ME 3 is pretty much an inferior ME 2 in most respects but hey it had citadel DLC which is easily the best thing out of ME

^ other opinion: Playing video games professionally/competitively is stupid and is only half of the reason MOBAs are a garbage genre (the other half is that they aren't fun to play).

I felt ME2 was mostly better than 1 because they pulled the old Bioware trick of literally cutting half the original's gameplay rather than improving on the flaws of the original which, I got to be honest, was really disappointing. ME3 was just more of the same and became dull after a while.

I don't know what their supposed to have cut rather than replaced with something that's at least not as bad, whether it makes the game shorter or not.

Rather than getting rid of the tedious driving all together and replace it with a tedious scanning mini-game instead, they could have made the driving, I don't know, fun? I also liked being able to customize my stats more in ME1 but I really don't remember ME2 that well so I can't remember if they did the powers thing that much better.

You don't really customize as much in ME1 so if that's what you wanted ME2 was better, as it had somewhat branching trees.

for the mako stuff i had fun with it but i was like "hm, this has potential to be way better, i cant wait to see what they do with it next game" and they just cut it. thats how i felt about pretty much everything in mass effect 2. its probably a better game overall for the cuts they made, but it also removed a lot of the quirky aspects of mass effect 1 that i really liked.

It was hard to drive at first but once you got used to its quirks it was fun and you could bounce around and squish people and ramp off mountains, whether it fit in with the tech or logic is moot because it was a fun mechanic that got axed in favor of a boring rear end minigame which is pretty much what happened to the series after ME1

amazing mirror is the best kirby game. the 64 outing is upper-echelon kirby, too. kirby has never had a truly, transcendentally great game, but combining some mechanics from those two would be a good start

Kirby 64 was okay but I was disappointed in the lack of variety with the powers even with the ability to combine them. Which was still really cool.

i like kirby 64, but it could be improved in almost every way. starting with extracting the 2.5d levels and power fusing and putting them in a different, superior game

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was better than 3/3+knuckles; it had much tighter, well-thought out levels and didn't degenerate into a boring slog like its sequels. Bioshock 2 is better than the original because while it doesn't have an 'amazing' storyline recycled from the worst bits of Atlas Shrugged and the best bits of System Shock 2, it did have 'fun gameplay'. The only fun command and conquer games were the original, and Generals/Zero Hour. RA2 was an unbalanced tug-of-war between Rhino Tank Rush and teching to Prism Tank=Instant Win. The balance for Mass Effect 1's combat system was hot garbage, as evidenced by the fact that the Vanguard hybrid-class was better at being a biotic specialist than the Adept biotic-class. Giving the 'resets cooldown on all powers' power to the guns+biotics class rather than to the biotics-only class was dumb as poo poo.
