My favorite thing to do during Rise's rhythm super is open my PSN inbox and send a message to whoever I'm playing. I always have enough time to finish by the time it ends.

I know the story of Persona 4 from the anime and Giant Bomb Endurance Run. Do I need to play Persona 4 Arena before this, or is it like Ultra SF4 or what. Sorry for the weird question, but the original game is still a little pricey and I have no idea what to make of a fighting game that apparently develops the plot of a JRPG franchise. EDIT: To make it more confusing, between P4A Ultra or whatever it was called, and this, I never buy because there's another game announced before the present one reaches my budget HALP

I think P4A2 may include P4A1, but I'm not too sure on that. Either way, the story is pretty dumb, so you won't really be missing much aside from some fun goofy bits.

The timer does indeed keep going during the super and if you time out during it then the game just stays in the super animation for about 10 extra seconds for some reason before just ending the round. Also since the super doesn't do damage until the end you could totally screw yourself by timing yourself out with a health deficit.

There is no P1-GP mode in base Ultimax, if there is then it's the most difficult thing to find ever because I still haven't seen it. The entire P4 Arena story is in the game files however and I know it's available on PSN for like 1500 yen in Japan to get the entire story.

So, someone figured out that Adachi has some weird combo routes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA6j-RCAdnQ Most of it revolves around cancelling the second part of 2C (the upwards Magatsu dash/grab) with shorthop, and using j.C to send the opponent back down straight to you. It's twice as awkward in execution as it sounds, but damned if it isn't cool.

How burst safe is it? It would suck to spend 75 meter and give up the corner just to have them burst at the first available opportunity. That's sort of the problem with Shadow Rise's shenanigan of blockstring -> Shadow Rampage -> stuff into SB Arrow Rain into stuff into DDR super to force the unblockable, too. Shadow Rise gives up a lot more for less reward there if bursted, though.

The free DLC is going to be free on the store for the whole week of the game's release. There's no code or anything, it's just gonna be Adachi and Marie free on the store.

Maybe on the NA store but not (yet) on the EUR one, I dunno if you can even use a import one with EUR dlc whenever it does come out. I guess it doesn't matter though, I'll import it anyway.
