I'm assuming Cha Ravah is the sermons-and-good-works sort of priestess, rather than the spider-god-blood-sacrifices sort. Correct me if I'm wrong.

A Watch "escort" for these three would be a level 2 Risur favor. Of course, if they really were armed then you could just arrest them and turn them over to the Watch for detainment, no favors necessary.

Remember, the RHC has full police powers in Risur. You don't need to call in favors just to pat somebody down. Sometimes you might need the City Watch to hold a perp for you, but that wouldn't require any favors either.

Warlock's Curse damage is only on a hit. The Armor won't get it. I'll just take off the 2.

potatocubed posted:X-Strike doesn't give any rules for how it works - it just says "attempt something the rules dont cover (as detailed in the D&D 4E Dungeon Masters Guide)", and I can't read that at work. I'll try to stick with a single roll for X-Strike, unless you want to try something really nuts. I don't want to start going "Okay that's Athletics for the swing, and Insight to predict the target's response, and Bluff to mask your intentions, and THEATER OF THE MIND~" Don't forget, the Sprites have melted the door shut. You'll have to bust through or rip it off to access the furnace. ProfessorCirno posted:Actually, if I move to the furnace and just stare down, would that give me line of sight within 5 squares and thus allow me to heal you??? Unfortunately there's no line of effect between floors, except through the stairs or ladder spaces. frankenfreak posted:Would you allow me to have a close blast including my own square? I'm thinking of using Shout of Triumph to get the halfling off me. Sure, but only as long as you're prone. Hwurmp fucked around with this message at 11:42 on Sep 24, 2014 |

Escaping from a grab is a move action, using your Athletics against the grabber's Fortitude, or your Acrobatics against their Reflex. Success also allows you to shift 1 square. Unit 9 has 2 imps grabbing him. You only need one success to escape both, but they get +2 to their Fort and Reflex for it. Or you could kill one of the imps, eliminating the +2. Since you have 9 Athletics and they only have 10 Fort, success would be guaranteed. F.R.E.D. can damage the door to help get it open.

Gharbad the Weak posted:Ok, so, assuming that the furnace is opened, I need two movement actions to get IN the furnace. And I, like, dive back out of the furnace, or kick the rod out, or anything like that? If I have to spend two turns in the furnace and nearly die, ok, but I just kinda want to know how I can get that rod out. Well, if you had an Action Point... If you just want to scoop up the rod and fling it, not worrying about where it goes as long as it's out, that'd be a minor.

Don't forget, you can also try to bash the door open with attacks. It has 30 HP. e: I never gave it defenses, did I. AC 14, Fortitude 13, Reflex 10, immune to Will. Any miss will do half damage. Hwurmp fucked around with this message at 00:16 on Sep 28, 2014 |

For what it's worth, F.R.E.D. would only have auto-killed one imp. He couldn't get into the space he wanted because the Saboteur was there on F.R.E.D.'s last turn, and he never replied when I told him about it They're gone now, though. The solution will use each possible pair of Energy+Input, Energy+Output, and Input+Output only once. For example, if you learned that Divine Energy had to go through Output 4, you would check off the space in the upper-left grid where Divine and 4 intersect, and cross out the spaces for Arcane+4, Primal+4, Psionic+4, Divine+1, Divine+2, and Divine+3. Psionic Energy will match with either Aleph Input, or Output 4, but not both. Until you figure out which input or output matches with Psionic, or which energy matches with Aleph or 4, that doesn't actually tell you much. But it will eventually.

I just noticed a couple of things: --frankenfreak, you need to add Cryss's Skirmishing Leader benefit to your combat block. --potatocubed, Unit 9 still has Weapon Expertise(Axe). Change that out when you get a chance. Hwurmp fucked around with this message at 21:30 on Sep 30, 2014 |

potatocubed: How many of Aramil's living machines did Elfaivar produce? Was Unit 9 present at the manifestation or death of the goddess Srasama? Did Aramil survive the war, and does he still live? Are there any gaps in Unit 9's memory? Does the Soames family ever try to claim he is still their property? Lord of Bore: What was Bran's last bounty job in the High Bayou? How did this job go wrong? Why did the target's death leave Bran with such shame? Gharbad the Weak: Does F.R.E.D. know what sent Netharia Faulkner off the deep end? Was she a proponent of outlandish beliefs that most of the scientific community rejects, possibly the "Outer Planes" hypothesis which claims that the elemental planes are actually tiny isolated pockets of a vast "Elemental Chaos?" How is F.R.E.D. treated by other Vekeshi Mystics he has met? Ryuujin: Does Hawthorn know what might have caused his inclination toward violence? Were there any fey in the Dreaming who accepted him for who he is? frankenfreak: Does Cryss still have friends or family in the Strand? Does she know who murdered her sister? Could it have been Lorcan Kell himself? Did Cryss's rise to the RHC leave any bad blood with her old City Watch precinct? ProfessorCirno: Did Cha Ravah witness the manifestation or death of Srasama? If so, how did she survive? The famous gnostic, William Miller, served in the Crusaders of the Danoran Divinate as a field medic during the last days of the Second Victory. Did Cha ever meet him? What does she think of him? "Don't know"/"Don't care"/"Do it yourself" are valid answers. Hwurmp fucked around with this message at 14:55 on Oct 3, 2014 |

Lord of Bore posted:His last job was catching a young thief, wanted for some minor thefts. After tracking him to his hideout, Bran had his bow trained on the thief to try and intimidate him into co-operating when he suffered an odd flare up in his left eye, causing pain and temporary loss of vision, making him loose his shot accidentally, hitting the thief. Has that ever happened to Bran before or again? Any other strange magical symptoms? ProfessorCirno posted:Her death and rebirth not too long afterwards certainly didn't help, either. How did Cha die?
