MULTI DATE DEAL quote:Bully Ray is reportedly close to signing a two-date deal with TNA. The extension would allow him to finish the TNA tag team series with The Wolves and The Hardys at this week’s TV tapings in Bethlehem, PA.

I love it, being inducted into the HoF only to gently caress off right after. Wonder how that acceptance speech will go

I just hope he doesn't show up on RAW the next night and throw the HoF plaque in the garbage can. (Like anybody cares enough about TNA to do a Medusa to WCW riff off them)

So are the Dudleys going to the indies? Aside from merchandising them in toys and video games I really can't see the Dudley's having any value to WWE.

Tables are still over as gently caress and Bubba at least has one more nostalgia run left in him. It's a question of whether they want to go back.

Bully can definitely work at the occasional-appearance level at the very least. I don't know if there's any bad blood between him and the WWE but I imagine that would be the only obstacle.

They took the outlaws back, and the Dudleys are better wrestlers in better shape now than the Outlaws were in their prime.

But that said, I think that WWE would take them both back for one last run.

Bully Ray spoke highly of WWE whilst making the PodcastOne rounds, so I wouldn't doubt that he is angling for a return. The 3D school has also gotten some people signed to developmental deals and it wouldn't hurt to have some tag experts pop in to the Performance Center occasionally (Billy Gunn can only teach a hot tag so often).

Just a reminder that WWE's current champion is Brock Lesnar, a man who actually won a lawsuit (well, technically a settlement) against them in court. They also inducted Ultimate Warrior into their HoF after years of legal wranglings and general rancor between the two. The Dudleys having a poo poo attitude backstage is going to be of zero import if Vince decides they're worth bringing back.

Didn't Davey Richards break his leg at a house show last month? Don't they still have to book this tag match series around that?

Daniels posted:Well I actually met Vince [Russo] for a short time during my stay with WCW when I was working there. He had people that he had clear ideas on and I never felt I was in that group in WCW and you could sort of say the same thing in TNA. I don’t think he ever latched onto something inside of me and put forth any effort towards my character for me.

http://grantland.com/features/tna-professional-wrestling-dixie-carter-jeff-jarrett-wwe/ Lengthy article up at Grantland about TNA's written by someone other than the Masked Man. Nothing really new for those of us who've been following the situation and there were some times he bought Dixie's bullshit. quote:Backstage at the Manhattan Center, where TNA is wrapping up its second sold-out, three-night run of the summer Still, he was willing to call out Carter and TNA management for several of their lies and terrible decisions in other areas. I can see how the journalistic precept of "try to be fair and evenhanded" must've held the writer back from just typing "THIS loving COMPANY" over and over again, but given reality's anti-TNA bias I'm not sure how you could best report on this trainwreck of a promotion.
