Really, they're doing us all a favor. Just think, if this were Final Fantasy a single Level 5 Death could wipe the whole party out.

Please don't give Atlus ideas.

I'll be sad for the inevitable Hexer nerfs.

Yeah. It will presumably attempt to balance things a little more. Which is sad because I loved my Hexer once she got Poison maxed and pretty much ended Random Encounters.

They also made some major alterations to floor layout, from the look of it, even without the DLC. From my perspective, that's a good thing: I don't want to map the exact same floor for like the 3rd or 4th time. Seems like the solution is simple enough, though: don't buy any of the boss-related DLC. It shouldn't be hard to resist, since according to Siliconera you need to be levels 85 & 99 just to unlock the latter two quests in the first place.

Pretty sure it changed up 99.9% of the Labrynth's layout. I think in EO1U only the first floor was the same.

That seems too simple.

My guess is that on some completely different floor in a seemingly random point you'll find the sword, probably guarded by a FOE. If the game's feeling extra mean it'll be in a Solo Beast part.
